POSITION DESCRIPTION

Provide NNSA Capital Projects (NCP) Technical Writer support services for work being performed at SRNS. The primary focus of this support effort will be a Technical Writer/Editor to provide technical reports, proposals, and other documents for the NCP organization. The scope will include both internal and external reporting of technical data in support of NCP 413.3B capital projects.

DUTIES
  • Support CD-2/3 Package development
  • Support CD-3x package development
  • Support monthly project reporting
  • Provide leadership and technical writing reports to the Director NCP NNSA Capital Projects
  • Develop and implement consistent standards of performance for proposal development for NCP
  • Provide technical writing, Excel, and Adobe Pro expertise and support to support NNSA reporting and assessments of NCP project teams
  • Provide lesson learned coordination for interfacing both internally to NCP Projects and SRNS and externally to other DOE sites
  • Assess NCP Project Teams monthly reporting to provide consistency and improvements
  • Develop and maintain monthly NCP metrics as requested


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in business.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ten years of experience in engineering, construction, operations, estimating, scheduling, project controls, proposal development, and/or project management
  • Five years of experience in technical writing
  • Experience with document submittals on DOE projects preferred
  • Reviews work for completeness as required by project specifications and scope definitions.
  • Candidate must have strong problem solving, analysis and interpersonal skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to fulfill and promote L&A Core Values.
  • Must be a US Citizen.


Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced Experience with MS Suite.
  • Experience with document submittals on DOE projects.
LOCATION

Position will be on-site in Aiken, SC.

Duration of the Contract: One (1) year with the option to extend for two (2) additional one (1) year options

Estimates Hours Per Year: 2,080ST / 200OT

Anticipated Work Schedule: 6am - 430pm.

Onsite or Remote? Local candidates or willing to relocate at the candidate's expense. 100% onsite.
