The Technology Project Manager will be a team member in the Service Delivery Business Unit within TSS. The unit is tasked with managing operations and maintenance of technology platforms that support a more productive, more collaborative, friendlier, and more dignified user experience for internal MTC business and external public customers. As a team member in the Service Delivery business unit, the Technology Project Manager will be responsible for all Technology projects to support MTC/ABAG business units, other agencies, and tenants at Bay Area Metro Center for technology needs, BAHA (Bay Area Housing Authority), shared services, including the Data Center. This position will ensure the proper maintenance and upkeep of infrastructure and related facilities that support building operations by the management and oversight of various contractors and vendors.
This position will work closely across all Technology Services business units and Contracts functions to ensure the effective management of software licenses, contracts, task orders and technical support contracts for all BAHA technology and Shared Services operations at the Bay Area Metro Center. The Project Manager will be the primary Administrator for the Data Center management activities and related managed services support contracts including tele-communication circuits. This position will also be responsible for providing project specific and regular communication to all stake holders, internal and external, including project plans, estimates, timelines, and budgets.
The Technology Project Manager will report to the Assistant Director of Service Delivery. The position will oversee 1-2 full-time employees at the outset plus several contractors and vendors.

Education: A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field. (A Masters degree is desirable.); Applicants with a degree issued from an institution outside the United States must have their transcripts evaluated by an academic accrediting service and provide proof of equivalency along with their application.
Experience: Five years of increasingly complex and responsible work experience performing computer and network needs assessment; and installing, maintaining and evaluating computer equipment, software applications and local area networks, including the equivalent of two years as an Information Systems Specialist II in MTC.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license and a safe driving record, or the ability to provide alternate transportation which is approved by the appointing authority.

- Public Employees Retirement System (PERS); employee contributes a portion of gross salary on a pre-tax basis.
- MTC is subject to California Pension Reform and as of January 1, 2013 will offer two pension plans. The plan employee will receive will be based on the individual's historical pension plan membership. HR will discuss this directly with all final candidates.
- Health Benefits Insurance through the Public Employees' Retirement System (premiums are shared between agency and employee).
