Are you interested in a career in the SEMICONDUCTOR INDUSTRY? Exciting things are happening at Edwards Vacuum where we manufacture a wide variety of industrial vacuum pumps for the semiconductor industry! We are experiencing record sales and have moved into a brand-new facility in Haverhill, MA.Haverhill offers beautiful sights and is located half-way between the City of Boston and the beautiful New England Seacoast.
As a SHE Specialist, the focus will be on delivering support to operations on a day to day basis covering all aspects of Safety, Health and Environment, spending most of their time on the operations floor. The SHE Specialist will be the liaison between operators and supervisors to ensure rules and regulations are followed specifically to the requirements of Federal, State, and Local agencies and those of company standards.
There are several tasks and projects that the SHE Specialist will be involved with on a day to day basis. Below is a list of projects; some with end dates and others as ongoing:

- Develop and deploy Risk Assessments based on existing work instructions.
- Manage employee Personal Protective Equipment Programs.
- Ensure site is compliant with regulatory required equipment specific inspections and audits
- Ensure applicable regulatory permits are current for the facility
- Assist in preparation and reporting of SHE key performance indicators
- Continuously review and update SHE Software systems to drive compliance
- Manage industrial hygiene and life safety systems
- Assist with the implementation of the Industrial Hygiene monitoring program, including performing exposure assessments of chemicals and potent compounds.
- Manage the site Hazard Communication Program
- Maintain site SDS system and database
- Assist in company adherence of SHE Management System programs and procedures
- Lead preparation of annual SHE regulatory reporting for OSHA and EPA
- Lead site environmental compliance programs including waste water, regulated waste management, greenhouse gas and ozone depleting substances, and storm water pollution prevention.
- Generate and maintain documentation related to SHE programs and procedures.
- Provide SHE support and guidance on facility renovations and capital projects.
- Develop SHE training curriculums and systems
- Conduct routine SHE training
- Assist with emergency preparedness planning and response to unplanned SHE events.
- Assist with incident reporting and follow-up
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or Engineering
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Safety, Health and Environment
- Knowledge with OSHA, EPA, MADEP, DOT, RCRA, Federal and local laws a plus
- Able to use Mircosoft office, comfortable with presenting in front of small or large audiences.
