We are recruiting for an experienced Manager, Clinical Development to join our Vancouver clinical team.

Job Overview:

The Manager of Clinical Development plays a key role in supporting clinical training and development at our 123Dentist clinics. Responsibilities will include, but are not restricted to, teaching dental professionals how to effectively use digital technology for patient experience and education, integrating clear aligner therapy programs in clinics, supporting dental hygienists to provide excellent patient care and helping improve communication amongst team members and patients. The Dental Hygienist will create action plans and execute training needed in clinics in collaboration with other team leads. The Manager, Clinical Development will also follow up as needed and evaluate success of initiatives using metrics.

The Manager of Clinical Development will have a high degree of attention to detail, be an effective and engaging presenter - both written and verbal - in order to motivate and educate dental professionals to be the best they can be.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Introduce the Digital Dental Workflow by providing training and support to clinics utilizing the iTero Scanner
  • Guide teams on optimal patient care and patient education using the iTero Scanner
  • Work with teams to integrate systems to improve communication leading to an optimal workflow
  • Work with Dental Hygiene Teams to implement optional patient care that is consistent in each operatory
  • Support integration of clear aligner therapy in clinics
  • Collaborate with other professionals to determine support needs of clinics and team members
  • Creation and presentation of educational content utilizing various delivery methods
  • Stay up to date on Dental Hygiene and Digital Dentistry
  • Ensure that clinics are working towards optimal standard of care
  • Other duties as required by the Director, Clinical and Digital Integration

Education, Credentials, Qualifications:
  • Clinical experience with a minimum of five (5) years in dentistry and two (2) years of mentoring other team members
  • Requires up to 80% travel (mostly day travel with in frequent overnight obligations)
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge
  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks and collaborate with others
  • Ability to influence and lead doctors and teams to take action
  • Strong communicator with high comfort level in presenting in front of others

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Dental Hygiene Experience and active licensure/registration in BC
  • Digital scanning experience
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to inspire change
  • Knowledge of restorative dentistry
  • Knowledge and experience in orthodontics, particularly clear aligner therapy
  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Active driver's license in BC
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs at times
