The Farmington Public School District is seeking an outstanding educator for the position of English Department Chair for Grades K-12. Farmington is a suburban Hartford community with a strong record of educational excellence. Farmington High School has 1400 students and 100+ faculty members. The English Department Chair is an integral part of school and district leadership teams which are committed to continuous instructional and programmatic improvement to ensure that all students meet rigorous standards.
In addition to strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, candidates should have at least five years of successful English experience and must hold or be eligible for Connecticut teaching certification in English (015). In addition, candidates must hold or be eligible for an Intermediate Administrator (092).
Salary range for holding Master's/Master's Plus starts at $57,768 - $110,029 depending upon education and experience, plus a $10,876 stipend for a certified department chair.
The starting date is August 19, 2024.
