Job Title: A6 Requirements, Plans, and Program Subject Matter Expert

Job Description:

Directly supports 480 th ISR Wing A6/Technical Director. Assists and supports principal client and staff regarding current /future requirements, plans, programming for ISR communications networks, hardware, and software. Assists with coordinating and implementing modernization and integration efforts across Wing staff and organizations, HQ USAF, MAJCOMs, sister services, and IC/Coalition partners. Analyzes A6 projects/programs alignment with Wing strategic plans and advises principal client and staff on ability and capacity to meet Wing Commander's intent and timelines.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Synchronize A6 ISR communications/networks and systems programs and projects with A-staff elements
  • Assists A6 in defining current and future communications/networks and systems (hardware/software) requirements and advocate as well as capture these within Wing A-staff directorate requirements processes
  • Generate program resourcing documentation and advocacy for A6 and ensure coordination across the Wing A-staff directorates, ACC, 16 AF, MAJCOMs, HQ USAF, Services, IC and Coalition partners
  • Build and present Wing A6 (current and future) initiatives to Wing leadership and A-staff directorates, ACC, 16 AF, MAJCOMs, HQ USAF, Services, IC, Coalition partners, visiting senior officials, working groups, service laboratories, seminars and other forums
  • Support Wing A6 staff in obtaining details, building products, analyzing resource data in order to directly contribute and engage in MYPEP, UFR, POM, and other resources processes and forums
  • Coordinate Wing A6 engagement, resources, requirements in support of ACC, 16 AF, MAJCOMs, Joint, as well as IC / National Laboratories pilot programs, exercises, AI/AAA initiatives
  • Retain currency in commercial technology capabilities, trends, and advances to include cloud, edge processing, quantum communications, etc., and advise A6 regarding applicability of these for AF DCGS/Wing operations
  • Assess Wing readiness and advise principal client and staff on gaps which affect current and future organizational transitions
  • Draft bullet background papers, correspondence, briefings in support of principal client and staff
  • Perform other role appropriate duties and record keeping as required

Required Qualifications
  • 10 years' experience supporting intelligence operations, program management, and planning
  • Three years' experience supporting Air Force major command intelligence staffs
  • Exhibit professional qualities:
    • Effectively communicate in verbal and written formats
    • Able to work unsupervised and independently or as part of a team
    • Able to work effectively with sponsors, customers, subordinates, users
    • Able to multi-task among numerous projects

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with AF DCGS program
  • Experience interacting with HQ AF/A2 staff
  • Experience with Allied, Coalition, Joint, and sister service C4ISR staffs

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree

  • TS/SCI
