Position Highlights:
The Export Control Manager (ECM) manages the daily functions of the Export/International Compliance office of the Corporate Compliance Program. The ECM will aid the International Compliance Officer (ICO) with implementation and management of the International Compliance program. Export Control Manager will provide consultation to faculty/team members during the processing of various international compliance reviews. The ECM will help to review visas, contracts, and travel authorizations as needed for various compliance components. The ECM will need to stay up to date on the changing export regulations. ECM will aid the Export Control Analyst with more complex analysis and notify/consult the ICO as needed. The ECM will aid the ICO in training and team member outreach.

Analyzes and assesses organizational activities for any International/Export Control compliance problems
Completes the International/Export Control Compliance work plans
Manages the delivery of International/Export Control compliance education and training
Supervises International Compliance Staff
Credentials and Qualifications:
** Will consider a master's or Juris Doctorate degree in lieu of two (2) of the three (3) years of relevant administrative compliance

Responsibilities:
Manages the daily functions of the International/Export Controls compliance program
- Oversees and assists with export control review of Visas and International Travel requests. Drafts necessary travel documents for Cuban travel.
- Reviews international contracts and grants for any potential international or Export Control implications.
- Reviews proposals for international or Export compliance issues.
- Works directly with the International Compliance Officer on any complex issues or License determinations.
- Provides consultation to faculty/team members during the processing of various international compliance reviews.
- Works with IT in review of international access requests.
Analyzes and assesses organizational activities for any International/Export Control compliance problems
- Reports any potential Export Compliance concerns to the ICO.
- Assists in the investigation and creates investigation report.
- Adequately tracks and documents records related to investigation.
Completes the International/Export Control Compliance work plans
- Conducts review of workspace and equipment and drafts report for ICO.
- Classify equipment with proper Export Control Classification Number.
- Drafts and helps execute Technology Control Plans (TCP), as needed, based on ICO risk assessment.
- Executes audits of TCP. Drafts and executes Letters of Assurance when needed. Develops corrective action plans and audit reports. Reports results to ICO
Manages the delivery of International/Export Control compliance education and training
- Facilitate training programs. Assists ICO in the provision of training to Moffitt team members and faculty. Stays up to date on regulation updates and changes
Supervises International Compliance Staff
- Supervises International compliance staff. Assists ICO in training of staff and overseeing day to day functions.
Credentials and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum three (3) years** of relevant and progressively responsible experience in export control, research, compliance, or another appropriate field is required.
- *OR Associates degree with an additional two (2) years of relevant experience in a compliance role in addition to the required three (3) years (for a total of five (5) years) may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
- *OR High School Diploma with an additional three (3) years of relevant experience in a compliance role in addition to the required three (3) years (for a total of six (6) years) may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
** Will consider a master's or Juris Doctorate degree in lieu of two (2) of the three (3) years of relevant administrative compliance

- ECoP (Export Compliance Professional)
- Ability to research and decipher complex regulations and apply them to everyday situations. Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Awareness of Export Control regulations, including the EAR, ITAR and OFAC regulations.
- Demonstrated experience working with MS Office.
