The Senior Accountant will be a key member of the finance team, primarily responsible for managing the full accounts receivable cycle, providing accurate cash forecasts, conducting inventory reporting and analysis, and supporting both internal and external audits. This role will also contribute to the month-end close process and ensure timely and accurate account reconciliations.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Run the entire full-cycle accounts receivable process, including identifying, researching, and resolving invoice and payment discrepancies.
  • Communicate effectively with customers via phone, email, or other communication channels to resolve payment discrepancies or disputes.
  • Assess creditworthiness of new and existing customers. Set appropriate credit limits and terms in coordination with the Assistant Controller.
  • Develop and maintain cash flow projections to effectively manage cash receipts forecasting.
  • Conduct detailed inventory reporting and analysis to ensure inventory cost accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to support month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Perform account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Transfer price analytics.
  • Reconcile inventory through cycle count analysis including identifying, researching, and resolving variances.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial transactions.
  • Continuously improve processes and systems to enhance financial reporting and analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the establishment of and adherence to proper internal control policies.
  • Reconcile inventory through cycle count analysis including identifying, researching, and resolving variances.
  • Manage, monitor, and analyze monthly operating results and proactively seek and suggest opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Preparation and filing of various government reports as well as Census Bureau reports.
  • Continuously utilize LEAN and 80/20 to drive simplification of the accounting function.
  • Maintain files and documentation in accordance with corporate policies.
  • Provide a high level of customer service for internal and external customers.
  • Back up for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Capital and 13-week Rolling Forecast Process
  • Perform other related duties as needed.


Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, MBA a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on accounts receivable, inventory, and financial analysis.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Experience reconciling the general ledger and journal entries.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering results.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Experience working with information technology and ERP systems required.
  • Advance working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient working with Word, Access, and/or business intelligent tools.


DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Project management experience, leading and collaborating with diverse individuals in cross-functional teams. Able to learn and apply skills quickly.
  • Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles.
  • Strong analytical skills: must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, multi-task and produce results.
  • Exhibit accuracy and thoroughness, identify areas of improvement and promote quality while increasing productivity.
  • Manufacturing experience a plus.
  • International reporting or consolidations experience a plus.
