Description:
The Configuration Manager, and by extension their team of reports, are responsible for the identification, organization, and control of all product and business configuration changes to include design, process control, change management, ALM, PLM, and proprietary information management while adhering to both Safran and regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the Configuration Management (CM) team of up to 10 individuals located in both Twinsburg, OH and Sarasota, FL, with potential contracted support from Chihuahua, Mexico
Ensure development and consistency of the CM processes between the Power Americas sites and the wider Safran practices while ensuring adherence to said processes
Identify, organize and control all business configuration changes and associated management of such for the OE and MRO organizations
Coordinate, manage and prioritize CM activities performed for SEP in Twinsburg and Sarasota, including Document Control processes
Provide CM leadership and technical judgment for the business, ensuring implementation of customer requirements in compliance with Safran policies
Work in coordination with other teams including but not limited to Engineering, Programs, Business Development, Supply Chain, etc.
Act as the engineering representative for ALM/PLM and CMMC projects
Trains and assists PLM users in basic and advanced use of PLM functionality, including integration between 3D CAD programs, PLM, and SAP
Manage and verify the baseline integrity of all associated databases
Mentor, coach, and develop team members while supporting HR with staffing requirements and recruitment
Assures CM compliance with all internal and external import and export control regulations - ITAR and Trade Compliance to include Safran IP and proprietary information
Manages the Engineering Change workflow (Change Requests and Change Notices)
Maintains accurate records of all in-process product change orders and provides status report and related to the change management activities
Assesses current practices for continuous process improvements within the CM organization
Adhere to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture
Regular, predictable attendance is required
Other duties may be assigned as necessary

Candidate skills & requirements
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited institution
Two (2) years of leadership experience - Two years of experience in a cross functional environment can be considered acceptable
Three (3) years relevant experience in a data management, configuration management, manufacturing, planning, or quality role in a change control environment
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Knowledge/Skills:
Advanced skills in interpersonal communication and writing, particularly with respect to presentations to customers and management at all levels and proficiencies in Windows based programs
Advanced technical knowledge of ALM/PLM and ERP/MRP systems
Advanced in the use of computer applications and current software PLM/ERP systems
Basic in the use of 2D and 3D CAD systems, including SolidWorks, CREO, CATIA V5, and AutoCAD
Demonstrated knowledge in Technical Drafting (including dimensioning, tolerance, view development, notes, and BOMs)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited institution
Knowledge of CMMC requirements
Supervisory Responsibilities
