The Assistant Director, Instructional Leadership is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the elementary curriculum and instructional programs, ensuring all students have access to high-quality instruction. This role emphasizes differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and coordinates the development and implementation of districtwide common assessments. The Assistant Director also focuses on professional development, data-driven decision-making, and providing instructional coaching and support.

This role emphasizes differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and coordinates the development and implementation of districtwide common assessments. The Assistant Director also focuses on professional development, data-driven decision-making, and providing instructional coaching and support.
Education and Experience
- Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
- 5 or more years of experience as a distinguished or proficient classroom teacher and as an instructional leader
- Proven experience in curriculum development, instructional coaching, and professional development.
- Willingness to participate in frequent training related to leadership, instructional strategies, and/or content, consistent with assigned role.
- Ability to engage in positive, open, learning-focused conversations with all stakeholders.
- Ability and willingness to frequently travel to various schools and locations throughout the district.
- Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness with shifting priorities or areas of focus.
- Promote and demonstrate strong collaboration, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hold a current LETRs Facilitator Certificate
- Hold an endorsement in Special Education, English Language Learners, or another relevant field.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
- Experience with Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).
Licenses/Special Requirements:
- Valid Washington State driver's license and evidence of insurability.
- Criminal justice fingerprint clearance.
