Operations Manager

Job Summary: Our company is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind with extensive experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) warehousing, and third-party logistics (3PL) operations. This person will be able to develop and maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within the operations team.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Strategically and tactically manage warehouse in compliance with company's policies and vision.
• Lead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including career development plans for direct reports and operational problem resolution.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve warehouse systems and fulfillment processes to drive efficiency, accuracy, and cost savings.
• Partner with HR to establish organizational staffing, performance management procedures and overall training for the site warehouse.
• Help promote a company culture that encourages trust and high morale by providing inspired leadership for the organization.
• Evaluate and implement safety and security protocols to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
• Proactively works to promote a growth mindset with a large team that achieves organization and site objectives.
• Manage a team of employees, providing guidance, coaching and performance feedback to ensure team members are meeting performance targets.
• Proactively works to assist others in achieving the organizations objectives.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong communication and leadership skills, with a track record of managing and developing teams.
• Proficiency in WMS and other warehouse technologies, with the ability to manage these systems.
• Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
• Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety and security protocols, with experience developing and implementing these protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address operational challenges.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a sense of urgency and a focus on results.
• Ability to travel to different sites of the organization.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field, preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in warehouse and fulfillment operations, with a focus on WMS and 3PL operations.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Must be able to wear proper safety gear such as closed-toe shoes.
• Must be able to utilize their knowledge of warehousing safety practices.
