This Sr. director of Nursing Patient Care Operations for OR will be responsible for:
- Leading and mentoring of clinical and management staff in an academic Magnet hospital in the 22 operating rooms and 2 procedure rooms. Ensuring the delivery of safe quality patient /family-centered nursing care in the hospital and clinic(s) setting.
- Partnering with the VP of Perioperative Business Operations on project management, budget preparation, collaboration, and strong communication to navigate across the enterprise and advance reliability, safety, and patient/family experience.
- Advancement of nursing science and care delivery operations through research, clinical inquiry, and quality improvement, applying creative problem solving to lead and evaluate complex projects and care delivery innovation.
- Determining and developing strategic nursing and interdisciplinary programs that are consistent with the mission, values, and goals of Children's Hospital.
- Developing a strong and cohesive leadership team.
- Develops and implements equitable criteria and processes for selection, evaluation, promotion, and termination of all staff within designated area(s) of responsibility that meet system standards.
- Develops strategies that create the cultural change necessary to fully realize our vision of participation in the continuum of care.
- Collaborates with physician leadership, Department of Sterile Processing leaders, and enterprise-wide leadership, to shape and advance the organizational mission and vision.
- Directs the integration of nursing or nursing-related activities in the mutual development and achievement of organizational goals.
To qualify, you must have:
Minimum of 8 years of associated leadership experience in a surgical or procedural setting.
Demonstrated success in the management of large multidisciplinary teams.
Master's degree in nursing.
10 plus years of acute care experience in a surgical or procedural setting.
Licensed in MA as a Registered Nurse.
Professional certification in nursing leadership, operating room nursing (CNOR), and/or post anesthesia nursing (CPAN).
