Eva's Village is seeking a dynamic, relationship-focused fundraiser to build, grow and manage a robust portfolio of foundations and corporations. This role involves understanding their funding priorities, educating them about Eva's Village's programs and services, and securing funding from these sources. The Manger of Institutional Partnerships, reporting to the Senior Director of Development and Communications, will be responsible for soliciting and stewarding existing institutional donors and identifying, qualifying, cultivating, and soliciting new donors.
With significant support from our seasoned grant writer who researches grant opportunities, drafts proposals and manages our fundraising pipeline, the new Manager of Institutional Partnerships will also research funding opportunities, collaborate with the Grant Writer to develop comprehensive and compelling proposals, ensure proposals are submitted on a timely basis, and approve reports prior to submission.
Additionally, the Manager of Institutional Partnerships will work with the Grant Writer to identify, write and submit Government Grant proposals, as well as execute these contracts. The overall fundraising goal for both Institutional Grants and Government Grants is $3.4 million.
The Manager of Institutional Partnerships will collaborate with the Development team, including the Major Gifts Officer, Grant Writer, Digital Media Specialist and Database Coordinator, to achieve the team's fundraising goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising
- Together with the Senior Director of Development and Communications, develop and execute a comprehensive institutional giving strategy, with an emphasis on securing new foundation and corporate grants while retaining and growing existing support.
- Act as the primary contact for Institutional Donors by establishing effective relationships with each; providing ongoing communication; delivering updates and reports as needed; and understanding their capacity to give.
- Research, prospect and pursue new philanthropic funding opportunities, including monitoring news and press about foundations, corporations and organizations for relevant announcements, industry trends, and public and private requests for proposals.
- Identify and create opportunities for donor recognition and stewardship, ensuring that institutional donors feel valued, appreciated, and connected to the organization
- Utilize donor database to track donor interactions, manage relationships, and analyze fundraising performance metrics to inform decision-making.
- In collaboration with Grant Writer, craft compelling letters of inquiry, grant proposals, reports, and strategic communications on behalf of Eva's Village.
- Alongside the Grant Writer, track all grant deliverables, ensuring timely delivery of grant requirements.
- Provide regular updates and reports to leadership on institutional giving progress, successes, and challenges.
- Stay informed about trends and best practices in institutional giving and philanthropy, and proactively adapt strategies to maximize fundraising effectiveness.
- Work closely with the COO & Finance Department on the creation of program budgets, as well as completion of Government Grant Contract Paperwork.
Donor Relations
- Provide continued communication with institutions including phone calls, written communications, on-site visits and visits to their offices.
- Develop and propose new creative strategies for donor cultivation, such as donor briefings, cultivation events, smaller fundraisers, strategic partnerships, etc.
- Work with the Senior Director of Development and Communications to plan proper and effective donor-facing marketing/communication materials including, but not limited to flyers, brochures, and other printed materials detailing our programs, deliverables and client success stories.
- Represent the organization at events, meetings, civic groups, and other potential institutional donor cultivation opportunities to promote Eva's Village and build awareness of the organization's mission and impact.
- Manage the Fund-A-Meal Corporate Volunteerism Program (where corporate groups volunteer in our Community Kitchen for a donation) in collaboration with the Volunteer Coordinator
Additional Responsibilities
- Manage In-Kind giving program, which includes surveying Program Managers to identify current in-kind donation needs, facilitating donation drop-offs, and managing distribution of items within the village.
- Maintain Online Merchandise store, as well as order and keep stock of in-house branded items.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 or more years' experience independently managing a portfolio of institutional relationships and building meaningful partnerships with key donors and stakeholders. Experience in social services and/or behavioral health a plus.
- Demonstrated track record of identifying, securing, and stewarding 5- and 6- figure institutional gifts.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to persuasively articulate the organization's mission and impact to a variety of audiences through written materials, presentations, and interpersonal interactions.
- Experience in collateral pieces for donors.
- Experience with donor management software (Raisers Edge preferred) to track donor interactions, manage relationships, and generate reports effectively.
- The ability to handle pressure with equanimity and to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and accountability-focused organization; a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for event coverage.
- Experience with Canva, Photoshop or other design software a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
