Position Overview
The Cyber Governance Expert will provide comprehensive governance, risk, and compliance support as a contractor to the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA). The expert will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective cyber governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure the agency's cybersecurity posture aligns with federal regulations and best practices.

Position Overview
The Cyber Governance Expert will provide comprehensive governance, risk, and compliance support as a contractor to the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA). The expert will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective cyber governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure the agency's cybersecurity posture aligns with federal regulations and best practices.

Job Responsibilities and/or Success Factors
- Develop and implement a robust cyber governance framework that aligns with federal standards, including NIST, FISMA, and other relevant guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies, regulations, and standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure adherence to governance standards.
- Collaborate with DSCA leadership to define and establish cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls.
- Provide guidance and support for incident response planning and execution.
- Monitor and analyze cybersecurity metrics and trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Lead the development and maintenance of cybersecurity awareness training programs for DSCA personnel.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity governance, providing advice and support to various DSCA departments and teams.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements.
- Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to continuously improve DSCA's cyber governance framework.
Education and Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- TS/SCI Clearance
- At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of federal cybersecurity regulations and standards, including NIST and FISMA.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles and best practices.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex cybersecurity concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
