SUMMARY

Registered Nurse - The Registered Nurse is responsible for performing nursing activities to care for and treat individuals in accordance with the policies of InCommunity dba Georgia Community Support and Solutions, Inc (GCSS) and the State of Georgia Nursing Licensing Bureau

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide nursing oversight to the Crisis Support Homes in Hampton and/or Floyd Counties.
  • Direct Supervisor of Lead LPNs- Manages LPN Supervisors and assist with training and disciplinary actions. Complete performance appraisal of LPN supervisors.
  • Visit each site 1x week to provide supervision and support to Lead nurse. Visit site within 24 hours of an admission to provide supervision and support to Lead nurse.
  • Co-Facilitate Quarterly Staff Meetings and Admissions/Discharge Planning meetings, as needed.
  • Review MARS and other nursing documentation to ensure they are completed correctly (co-signed and reviewed). Review and sign off on LPN notes.
  • On call for staffing crisis home as the need arises for such coverage including contacting agency or other staff in order to ensure that the home is adequately staffed
  • Psychiatry Review- Contacts doctor as needed to report, clarify or discuss issues. Review doctors orders. Assist staff with medication issues.
  • Serve on CQI committee to ensure areas that need improvement are identified and in collaboration with other members of Crisis Response Staff, develop and implement measures to promote improvement.
  • Serve as a liaison when MCT requires nursing consultation to meet the needs of individuals in the community.
  • Review and audit records to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure that assessments and individuals receiving Crisis Respite are completed as requested or required.
  • Provide Health related education trainings to staff to meet the individuals needs
  • Collaborate with Director of Crisis Support Services to ensure the homes are managed well and run efficiently and in accordance to all applicable Rules and Regulations.
  • Consult with the Director of Nursing on a routine basis to discuss and resolve current issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.
