Position Overview
The VP, Information Technology is a key leadership role responsible for the strategic and operational management of the company's global IT applications and infrastructure. This includes overseeing IT strategy and planning, network and infrastructure management, enterprise systems and applications, data privacy and security, IT operations and support, IT project management office, vendor management, and compliance and risk management. The VP has budgetary responsibilities, manages multiple projects and staff, and collaborates closely with the broader organization to effectively maintain current technologies and implement new technologies in a manner that is efficient, innovative, and maximizes return on investment.
This position is global in scope and may require travel (10%).

Responsibilities:
- Creates and implements the company strategy for information technology operations and business systems. Responsible for developing innovative short and long terms plans to support the company's growth strategies and advancements for a next generation distribution company
- Successfully delivers large, highly complex and visible company-wide and interdepartmental projects and programs with strategic business importance
- Provides technical leadership in the design, development, operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the global IT function. Operates as a player / coach with the ability to think globally and strategically, as well as the willingness to execute tactical work
- Proactively suggests and promotes technology and processes that maximize return on investment and deliver value to internal and external customers
- Manages and leads a high performing direct and indirect team, delivering performance feedback, and coaching and mentoring for development. Fosters teamwork at all levels and cross-functionally
- Leads the design, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of Formerra's cybersecurity posture, monitoring, and incident response program
- Leads security incident response, participates in investigations of suspected information security misuse or compliance, and recommends appropriate corrective actions for information security incident response
- Stays abreast of regulatory changes that can affect information security policy, standards, and procedures, recommends appropriate security program changes, and follows up to ensure completion. Gains knowledge of changing technologies and provides recommendations for adaptation of new technologies or policies
- Proactively researches and champions ways to improve efficiency of the global network, thus increasing productivity and ease of use for internal customers
- Actively manages relationships with IT vendors, establishing service level agreements and managing performance against them
- Designs and manages future and current state business models and practically applies new and emerging technologies to drive them
- Collaborates with Digital team to support Company's digitization and ecommerce growth plans
- Supports M&A activities, including IT due diligence of targets and ERP implementations
Qualifications: - 10+ years of leadership experience in global IT functions
- Bachelors in computer science/engineering, information security, or related discipline with concentration in IT preferred, or equivalent experience. MBA or other advanced degree a plus
- Experience leading technology in carve-out and/or start-up environments
- Experience with Lean-IT concepts and organizational structures preferred
- Experience with SAP product suite and SAP ECC Architecture
- Experience in roles where it was critical to understand the needs of the business and how technology will enable them
- Experience managing internal and external cross-functional interactions (Company Ownership, MSPs, etc)
- Demonstrated strong Program Management Skills
- Demonstrated ability to proactively manage budgets
- Demonstrated experience with contract negotiations
