As Controller, you will work administering fiscal policies and procedures. This will include completion of financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; coordinating the general ledger; and directly supervising the accounting team and operations. Responsible for implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls that will ensure that organization assets are adequately safeguarded and that all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with all financial policies and US GAAP.

Responsible for implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls that will ensure that organization assets are adequately safeguarded and that all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with all financial policies and US GAAP.
Job Duties Included but not limited to:
- Oversees the general accounting function, which includes accounting, cash management/reconciliation, financial reporting, and balance sheet management.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Ensures that financial records and reports are maintained in compliance with organization policies and US GAAP. Is responsible for reviewing monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and other documents to ensure this compliance.
- Supervises and coordinates the completion of Federal reporting requirements including the Form 990 - Return of Organization Exempt from Income Tax.
- Supervises the completion of cost reports required by government regulation.
- Supervises the completion of state tax reporting requirements (including property, sales, payroll, and other taxes).
- Ensures that the accounting system continues to operate as required. Involved in validating and/or designing suggested changes to ensure accounting requirements continue to be met.
- Coordinates work relating to external audits in the periodic review of the organization financial records. Is further responsible for the implementation of agreed upon recommendations related to areas of responsibility, resulting from the audit findings.
- Supervises, trains, and evaluates staff performance and oversees daily departmental tasks and operations.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Ensures that the accounting department is staffed with qualified financial personnel capable of meeting the objectives and responsibilities, noted above. Responsible for continued development of the team.
- Manages all aspects of financial functions, including monthly closing process.
- Complies with all CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities), CQL (Council on Quality and Leadership, and Goodwill policies and procedures.
Qualification Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited 4-year college or university with a degree in Accounting/Finance or related field preferred.
- Minimum of five years' experience in the accounting field with proven leadership abilities.
