As a Senior Project Manager, you will be the driving force behind the successful execution of complex construction projects. You'll be hands-on, overseeing every aspect of the project from the ground up, ensuring everything runs smoothly, on time, and within budget. Your role will involve being on-site, managing teams, coordinating with various stakeholders, and leveraging your background to solve real-time construction challenges.
What You'll Do:
- Be on-site regularly, ensuring all aspects of the construction project are running smoothly.
- Lead the planning, execution, and closing phases of complex construction projects.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to develop comprehensive project plans and strategies.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources directly from the field to ensure successful project delivery.
- Oversee the preparation and review of project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct regular site inspections and meetings with stakeholders to track progress, address issues, and ensure alignment.
- Implement effective risk management strategies on-site to mitigate potential project risks.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative project environment, promoting best practices in construction management.
- Prepare and present detailed project reports and updates to senior management and clients.
What You'll Bring:
- Strong team player with a hands-on approach and a passion for what you do!
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience project managing complex construction projects.
- Proven experience working with general contractors or construction management companies.
- Extensive knowledge of construction management principles, building codes, and industry standards.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- PMP or other relevant project management certification is an asset.
- Existing Government of Canada Secret clearance is an asset.
