The UW Medical Center-Northwest - Sports Medicine Clinics have an outstanding opportunity for an Assistant Nurse Manager (job profile: Registered Nurse 3). This is a supervisory position reporting to the Clinic Manager.
WORK SCHEDULE
40 hours per week
Monday-Friday only
Must be available to work day shifts between 7:00am and 5:00pm
Must be available to work at our clinics in North Seattle and Ballard
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Our Sports Medicine Clinics treat patients experiencing muscle and joint problems, workplace injuries, and sports injuries. We offer surgical and non-surgical treatments alike - all from board-certified specialists. This is a great chance to join a multidisciplinary team that brings together orthopedics, primary care, podiatry, PM&R, and sports medicine.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Establishes and maintains credibility as a leader of day-to-day clinic operations
Oversees staffing for Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants, Pedorthists, and Imaging Technicians
Provides leadership for clinical and administrative functions
Provides feedback to the Clinic Manager for annual performance evaluations
Develops, coordinates, and maintains various work processes that ensure successful daily clinical outcomes
Monitors schedules to streamline clinic services
Promotes effective communication among staff and patients
Works in partnership with orthopedic and podiatric surgeons and medical providers
Identifies staff and resource problems and takes necessary steps toward problem resolutions
Leads the hiring processes for medical assistants and RNs
Implements and manages orientation and educational programs for newly hired staff
Provides expert nursing assessments, assists with phone triage, and educates patients and their families
REQUIREMENTS
2 years of medical-surgical or ambulatory nursing experience
Previous charge, lead, or supervisory nursing experience
Active BLS
Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
