The VP, Provider Contracts and Network will provide leadership, vision, and strategies that drive positive results and financial performance across risk adjustable product lines (Medicare, ACA, Medicaid, D-SNP) through effective value based care and risk adjustment initiatives and operations. This role will focus on innovative programs designed to engage our network providers in care delivery innovation and transformation in support of the Quadruple Aim: Delivery of better care at a lower total medical cost, while enhancing member and provider satisfaction.

This position may work will be required to work regularly (at least 3 days/week) from our office in Madison, WI. Travel throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa and growth markets is expected. Relocation assistance may be available. Hardware and equipment will be provided by the company, but candidates must have access to high-speed, non-satellite Internet to successfully work from home.

- Starting salary range based upon skills and experience: $175,000 - $215,000 plus robust benefits package
Responsibilities
- Develop, influence, and implement innovative strategies to continually optimize Quartz's risk adjustment performance and supplement the risk adjustment activities of provider sponsors systems and network providers
- Create and maintain risk adjustment performance KPIs and dashboards, regularly communicating progress and performance updates to executive leadership and other relevant stakeholders across the organization, provider systems, and network
- Proactively engage, collaborate, and maintain strong working relationships with key provider sponsor system stakeholders, including executive- and board-level leadership
- Lead teams responsible for the successful execution of provider engagement strategies, including the establishment and implementation of value based programs that optimize financial, quality, and compliant coding and care for proactive risk management
- Translate business vision and strategy into clear operational goals, objectives, and tactics that ensure the necessary infrastructure, skills, and competencies needs are available to achieve business objectives and overall success
- Add, consolidate, or eliminate vendors as necessary to continually optimize the collective performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of Quartz's risk adjustment efforts and solutions
- Identify and execute strategic growth opportunities for the portfolio of network providers across Quartz markets
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, health care administration or related field; equivalent, relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education requirement
- 15+ years of experience in a client-facing leadership role within the health care industry
- 5+ years of provider contracting and network management experience
- Strong understanding and subject matter expertise in healthcare and/or health plan operations and market economics (including health plan and provider financial models)
- Knowledge of operations and regulatory requirements for risk adjustable health plan products and quality measures related to value based provider contracting
- In depth knowledge of the healthcare provider landscape across Wisconsin and Quartz networks is preferred
- Professional, well-developed communication skills (written and verbal) with a high degree of diplomacy and persuasiveness, along with the strong ability to collaborate and communicate with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization to cultivate effective working relationships
- Proven ability to build and manage a high-performing team through the expression of a clear vision of future goals and organizational expectations and inspiring others to achieve the goals
- Ability to quickly understand and evaluate complex financial structures and operational workflows, with a keen eye for detail and improvement
