Job Overview

VIDA Diagnostics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Leader to oversee the software quality assurance processes for our cutting-edge medical imaging analytics platform. The QA Leader will play a crucial role in ensuring that our software products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, a deep understanding of medical software regulations, and exceptional leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead QA Team: Manage and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
• Develop QA Strategies: Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive QA strategies, including test plans, test cases, and automated testing scripts to ensure thorough testing of the medical software platform.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all QA processes comply with relevant medical software regulations and standards, such as FDA, ISO 13485, and IEC 62304.
• Testing and Validation: Oversee all aspects of software testing, including functional, integration, system, regression, and performance testing. Validate software functionality against requirements and specifications.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to software quality. Develop and implement risk management plans to address potential issues.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the QA team and processes. Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development, product management, and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of QA processes into the software development lifecycle.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of QA activities, including test plans, test cases, test results, and defect reports.
• Reporting: Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on QA activities, test results, and quality metrics. Communicate issues and risks in a timely and effective manner.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, preferably in the medical software industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of medical software regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485, IEC 62304).
• Leadership Abilities: Proven track record of leading and managing QA teams. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
• Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality.
