Applied Composites (AC) is seeking a Manager of Facilities who is responsible for supervising and overseeing Facilities which is composed of Maintenance, Plant Operation, Utilities, Buildings, Grounds, Custodial Services and Facilities Construction, and/or Restoration. Oversees and coordinates the activity necessary for maintaining and repairing equipment, systems, and buildings. Involved in all construction and remodeling projects to ensure the integrity of all the systems. Ensures maintenance objectives are met including project costs, quality, safety factors, and city permits.

Approves and oversees inventory, purchase of products and equipment, as well as, equipment maintenance contracts and outside contractors. Establishes standard maintenance requirements for equipment. Maintains and oversees the preventative maintenance program to ensure that all equipment is satisfactorily maintained in order to maximize its life and dependability and ensure records are complete and accurate. Job Accountabilities:

Oversees the day-to-day operation of the department, staff, and all maintenance and repair of facilities and systems in accordance with standard operating procedure, internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies.

Monitors and manages the improvements to operating utilities, equipment, and practices.

Responsible for establishing, maintaining, and monthly reviews of the Preventative Maintenance Program. Performing regular inspections of the facility to identify needed repairs and maintenance with follow-through on items identified for timely completion.

Works with Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance to identify, justify, and installation of all new equipment.

Ensures compliance with all requirements of waste management.

Recommends purchase of tools, equipment, and supplies to improve processes and increase efficiency.

Partners with internal management to meet goals of space utilization and create effective work environments.

Establish contacts with suppliers qualified to perform maintenance for equipment failures beyond our maintenance capabilities.

Coordinate work with outside contractors to ensure uninterrupted service and high-quality results. Ensure that integrity of equipment and building is maintained by reviewing contractors' work regularly.

Maintaining an efficient parts/materials inventory within the department standards and budget.

Responsible for keeping equipment production-ready and reducing equipment down time.

Identify and maintain critical backup components required for equipment.

Ensures general safety, and compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and company requirements.

Maintains all aspects of building security.

Responsible for all statutory testing and inspections (OSHA, EPA, etc.).

Responsible for establishing, maintaining, educating, and monthly reviews of Plant Safety Program.

Provide process engineering support for the Powder Fabrication area.

Responsible for hiring and terminating subordinate employees (or effectively recommending such decisions). Handling employee complaints and grievances; staff mentoring, coaching, counseling, disciplining employees; assigning work among employees; and providing for the safety and security of the employees.

Manage staff selection, interviewing, selecting, training and staff development to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations

Directing employees' work and establish and adjust hours of work as needed

Establishes priorities and workflow within the department; identifies problems, analyzes and resolves with appropriate resources and action.

Provides staff with standards of performance informing them of job expectations and evaluating their performance.

Conducts staff meetings to ensure policies and procedures are adhered to and enforced, and when necessary, modified to address changing strategic objectives.

Maintain production records for use in supervision; appraising employees' productivity standards and efficiency for recommending promotions or other changes in status.

Ensures appropriate management of department staff, including timely completion of performance appraisals and corrective counseling, when appropriate.

Job Specifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma/GED, plus four (4) years relevant experience and appropriate certifications may be substituted for meeting educational requirement only. Skills:

Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence, while exercising sensitivity to the audience.

Possesses a high level of ethical behavior in exercising judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Knowledge of maintenance principles and techniques in order to effectively oversee and direct various repair upkeep activities.

Possesses knowledge and ability to ensure that all construction work is performed according to approved construction instructions and/or drawings, ensuring, quality work is performed in the best interest of the organization.

Possess working knowledge of all the various aspects of maintenance and plant equipment (mechanical, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.)

Knowledge and ability to coordinate schedule and carry out utility shutdowns related to construction.

Ability to multitask and practice good time management.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Capable of driving change transformation and strategy execution to achieve specific business results.
