Role Overview
The Information Security Team is based within the Executive Office of MSF-USA. The Information Security Analyst plays a crucial role in the team and is a pivotal contributor to risk management at MSF-USA. This individual will support ongoing information security and compliance initiatives that are aligned with industry best practices. We seek a candidate who can create guidelines for secure practices across the organization, collaborate with various stakeholders, including legal, procurement, and security operations, assist colleagues with guidelines, and make recommendations to management.
Department Accountabilities
Infrastructure and Network Development and Maintenance
Develop and maintain the infrastructure and network, including network planning, operational tasks, data management, incident logging, reporting, systems monitoring, systems testing, and disaster recovery.
Support Users and Business Units
Provide support, advice, training, and assistance to users to resolve queries and ensure MSF-USA understands the applications/ website capabilities.
Product Development & Innovation
Develop existing and new applications by analyzing and identifying areas for modification to improve "As Is" and meet MSF needs.
Information Security
Develop specifications for, advise on, and implement information and security solutions and tools to protect and monitor security incidents and prevent unauthorized access or damage.
Support MSF Movement
Support technology operations on behalf of the movement in the US home society. Share expertise with the rest of the movement by participating in Communities of Practice and other collaborating initiatives.
PMO
Define and maintain the project management standards for MSF and introduce economies of repetition in the execution of projects. Source of documentation, guidance, and metrics on project management and execution.
Application Management
Implement applications, including data migration, to support MSF Strategy. Provide governance designed to ensure applications run at peak performance and as efficiently as possible, from the end-user experience to integrations. Implement and support new features as needed. Ensure access administration and support end-users.

The Information Security Analyst will be responsible for enhancing the information security, compliance, and risk management of MSF-USA in many ways. First, the Analyst will maintain PCI Compliance, enabling MSF-USA to raise approximately 30% of its global funds. Second, the Analyst will improve the organizational information security policies and procedures annually. Third, the analyst will support incident response and test response procedures when needed. Fourth, the analyst will support the planned governance, risk, and compliance activities. Finally, security training and vendor risk management are operational tasks that the Analyst will manage.

- Experience with PCI - DSS Compliance and Attestation process.
- Develop new guidelines and/or policies, including reviewing and updating existing internal documentation
- Support Incident Response and the development of incident response playbooks
- Roll out quarterly security awareness training to all staff on emerging topics
- Coordinate between MSF-USA and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSP) to carry out tabletop exercises, social engineering campaigns, security awareness seminars
