NorthHill Technology Resources is seeking a Manager of Accountability & Projects for direct hire opportunity. Position is Hybrid remote located in Linthicum, MD.

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • The Manager of Accountability & Projects will support the Processing Operations Team with a variety of financial analysis, accounting activities and projects focused on improved operations and compliance with the FMCS contract.
  • The Manager of Accountability & Projects will work cooperatively with Processing Operations department heads on key financial activities and projects.
  • The Manager will support data reporting, special audits and reviews, the annual audit and other compliance activities.
  • In partnership with the Director of Processing Operations, The Manager of Accountability & Projects will identify Processing improvement opportunities, make recommendations for enhancements, and support process implementation.
  • The Manager will be a member of the Leadership Council.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Project manage and complete assigned ongoing and ad hoc Processing Operations related projects, working collaboratively with the Self-Directed Services and other departments/divisions across the company.
  • Work in partnership with Data & Reporting and Information Technology on all Processing Operations required and ad hoc FMCS contract reporting; Liaison with Processing Operations department heads on data related projects.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing improvement of business systems supporting Processing Operations; Collaborate with Information Technology on all system integration and improvement efforts.
  • Support the work of financial services consultant(s) on key projects and initiatives.
  • With Processing Operations department heads, facilitate the development and implementation of workflows; Facilitate the drafting of Standard Operation Procedures that align to GAAP and FMCS contract requirements.
  • Provide reconciliation activities for Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Financial Reporting.
  • Support and complete special audit or reviews and compliance activities related.
  • As assigned, support the Finance Division with the year end audit by completing assigned accounting tasks.

Other Functions
  • Provide coverage and short-term staff augmentation for key Processing Operations roles.
  • Conduct research, prepare reports presentation and other assignment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Three years of senior accountant level of experience required, with skills in facilitation of complicated, in-depth analyses on financial activities of the organization using Excel
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field required; CPA/CMA and MBA would be a plus
  • Past experience with DDA, financial management services, and Self-Direction is a plus
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills with knowledge of accounting principles including an understanding of the concepts of flux analysis, revenues and expenditures, account reconciliation and financial statement preparation
  • Ability to work autonomously, in ambiguous situations with little direction, running toward problems without being asked; solutions oriented
  • Ability to remain flexible, calm under pressure and adaptive to change as priorities shift, being a model and resource for team members
  • Strong, oral and written communications; strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage positive communication in difficult situations and the ability to provide candid/constructive feedback
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and financial/accounting systems; Expert level of proficiency with Excel
