Program Quality Engineer

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

To develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to achieve and maintain appropriate Quality targets defined by internal, industry, and customer standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Publishes and revises quality procedures and policies (as required).
• Develops Quality and inspection plans based on contractual requirements.
• Interfaces with customers on Quality issues and manages QMS and special-process audits.
• Reviews contractual requirements to ensure internal requirements, procedures, and specifications compliance.
• Maintains build records of shelter configuration as required by contract.
• Provides direction and support to inspectors, including interpretation of specifications.
• Reviews nonconformances and determines/concurs on disposition.
• Analyzes and implements corrective action requests and provides feedback for continuous improvement.
• Reviews drawings for Configuration Management as needed.
• Supports the development of quotations for new business (as required).
• Monitor QA department spending against assigned programs.
• Troubleshoot and investigation corrective actions (RCCA)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• BS/BA in a technical field or equivalent experience
• ASQ certified Quality Engineer or equivalent experience or ASQ certified Quality Auditor or equivalent certification or experience

Preferred:

• Prior experience in a quality engineering role.
• SPC experience and/or training; geometric tolerancing; ISO 9000 training; (AS9100) Microsoft Office proficiency
