Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a team of employees to achieve department goals
- Plan and coordinate the overall work of the department
- Oversee department and ensure that goals and objectives are met
- Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
- Provide staff training, development, and mentoring as needed
- Develop internal control guidelines, policies, and procedures for budget accounting, cash and credit management, administration, and other activities
- Responsible for overall accounting practices, including managing Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Billing processes
- Maintain cash flow forecasting and reporting
- Oversee and take responsibility for consolidated month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process and timely issuance of financial statements for multiple subsidiaries
- Directly prepare budgets, review budget proposals, and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justification for proposed budgets
- Coordinate and direct budgeting, procurement, investment activities, and financial planning
- Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
- Prepare management level reporting and analysis in a timely and efficient manner to help stakeholders understand the company financials and make business decisions
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards
- Assist leadership team with special projects as requested
