JOB DESCRIPTION

Controller

Department:

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Lead and motivate a team of employees to achieve department goals
  • Plan and coordinate the overall work of the department
  • Oversee department and ensure that goals and objectives are met
  • Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
  • Provide staff training, development, and mentoring as needed
  • Develop internal control guidelines, policies, and procedures for budget accounting, cash and credit management, administration, and other activities
  • Responsible for overall accounting practices, including managing Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Billing processes
  • Maintain cash flow forecasting and reporting
  • Oversee and take responsibility for consolidated month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process and timely issuance of financial statements for multiple subsidiaries
  • Directly prepare budgets, review budget proposals, and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justification for proposed budgets
  • Coordinate and direct budgeting, procurement, investment activities, and financial planning
  • Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
  • Prepare management level reporting and analysis in a timely and efficient manner to help stakeholders understand the company financials and make business decisions
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards
  • Assist leadership team with special projects as requested
