The Learning and Development Manager is responsible for driving the learning strategy within the Revenue team, focusing on accelerating new hire proficiency and fostering continuous development for all Associates. This role plays a critical part in ensuring Sales teams master technical skills and domain knowledge, thereby increasing productivity and retention. Key Responsibilities:
- Define Sales Learning Strategy:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive learning strategy for Sales associates to accelerate onboarding, increase productivity, and improve retention rates.
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead a team of Learning and Development Associates, providing vision, leadership, and guidance.
- Coach and mentor team members to foster an energized and motivating work environment aligned with business goals.
- Needs Assessment and Partnership:
- Partner with Sales leaders and associates to assess learning needs and requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Experience (CX), Product, and HR teams to ensure alignment of learning initiatives with business objectives.
- Learning Program Development:
- Adapt and repurpose existing learning tools and programs to suit the specific needs of the Sales team.
- Research and recommend internal and external learning programs that support organizational objectives and employee development.
- Project Management and Evaluation:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to plan and execute new learning projects and technologies.
- Conduct ongoing evaluations to measure program effectiveness and assess learner proficiency.
- Sales Knowledge Management:
- Develop templates and best practices to facilitate knowledge management within the Sales team.
- Strategic Planning and Budget Management:
- Create a multi-year Sales learning strategy in collaboration with HR Business Partners and Enterprise Learning teams.
- Manage the Sales training budget effectively to maximize ROI on learning initiatives.
- Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring alignment of content and materials with organizational expectations and culture.
- Performance Management and Development:
- Conduct regular performance reviews with team members, identifying development needs and creating plans to address them.
- Participate in hiring processes to fulfill staffing needs within the Learning and Development team.
Qualifications:
- 4-year business or learning-related degree
- Minimum of 5 years of learning leadership experience, ideally with a focus on Sales
- Ability to conduct learning needs analysis through a proven, consistent methodology
- Knowledge of Adult Learning Model, training industry and best practices
- Facilitation
- Demonstrated experience with complex project management
- Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally at all levels
- Proven track record of delivering learning products to improve performance
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency with PC software, Microsoft Office Suite and web tools for conferencing and training.
- Ability to adjust to rapidly changing environment and software.
