PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
Directs all Shipping and Warehouse operations across three shifts for the Mansfield, Texas packaging facility. Responsible for leading and influencing departmental initiatives aligned with our overall strategy while promoting a collaborative work environment that supports our mission, vision and values. Guides and directs overall productivity, quality and safety for the department while simultaneously driving continuous improvement across all shifts. Actively partners with Department Managers to ensure internal and external customer needs are met with responsiveness and ease. Responsible for overseeing the training, development and coaching of team members across all shifts while ensuring a safe and collaborative work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's or two- year degree in related field is preferred, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree. Minimum offive years' experience in a material and warehouse management role, with at least two years' experience leading and managing a warehouse or shipping/receiving team. Proficient skills in MS Office applications including Word, Outlook and Excel. Experience and knowledge working with large-scale ERP systems and scanning software is required; JD Edwards and/or RF Smart experience is a plus.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITY:
- Oversees all shipping and warehouse functions including all logistics, inventory management, handling returned/damaged goods, maintenance of equipment, vendor relations and administrative activities to ensure customer requirements are met
- Actively partners with Department Managers across the facility to understand current production schedules and customer needs while effectively communicating any necessary information; participate in daily production schedule meeting
- Responsible for ensuring warehouse safety and security procedures are maintained in accordance with OSHA or other standards while modeling and promoting a safety focused culture
- Responsible for inventory control management including finished goods, corrugated inventory and paperboard roll storage
- Develops and directs all team members duties to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of the facility
- Oversees job assignments and shift schedules including the scheduling of truck drivers to ensure safe and timely delivery of product; coordinates with third-party logistic companies when necessary to meet customer needs
- Develops and manages a space utilization plan to meet prescribed cost, service and safety standards; continuously monitor space utilization and layout to maintain compliance with set standards
- Responsible for overseeing the safety and maintenance of all material handling equipment ensuring proper training, operation and safety standards are always met
- Oversees baler operations which includes the safe operation of the baler equipment, the safe and proper storage of baled scrap material, managing scrap sales and scheduling shipment of baled waste
- Responsible for adhering to BRCGS Certification standards and ensuring all warehouse operations are compliant
- Leads and champions change to support lean continuous improvement, production efficiency efforts, best practices in plant, and food safety and innovation
- Actively collaborates with the Sales, Customer Service and Production Teams to ensure seamless execution of customer requests on time and within budget
- Actively manages the performance of all team members; oversees the effective onboarding, training and developing of team members ensuring all tools and resources are available to effectively perform their jobs
- Effectively manages the performance and development of all team members including offering continuous and timely feedback, delivering performance reviews and coaching team members for improved performance and professional growth
- Effectively communicates all necessary information across all shifts ensuring that the night Supervisors and shipping staff are informed and equipped to handle shipping needs that may arise
- Engage in active and continuous performance feedback for all team members; partner with People Team to complete technical and professional development plans for team members, including succession plans, for those that have been identified as potential successors in any technical, apprentice or leadership role
- Create clear expectations and accountability among all team members and work with People Business Partner to communicate, enforce and carry out necessary disciplinary action for any performance, attendance or code of conduct violation; identifies with and supports company leadership and company decisions and ensures compliance to all company policies and procedures
