Audubon is currently seeking a Network and Automation Engineer to join our team in our Canonsburg, PA Office. The Network and Automation Engineer at Audubon shall have shown the ability to support Operational Technology (OT) components, which include PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA deployments, Virtualization builds and migrations, Network Segmentation (VLAN's, Firewalls, Switches, etc.), Asset Inventory and Management, and Window Servers/Anti-Virus/Patching, among others, for various industrial facilities. Ideally, they shall have served customers and facilities in the Oil Natural Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Food and Beverage, Steel, Water/Waste Water, Power Generation, and/or Specialty spaces. They must be able to initiate customers and build relationships through first person interactions.

Audubon is currently seeking a Network and Automation Engineer to join our team in our Canonsburg, PA Office. The Network and Automation Engineer at Audubon shall have shown the ability to support Operational Technology (OT) components, which include PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA deployments, Virtualization builds and migrations, Network Segmentation (VLAN's, Firewalls, Switches, etc.), Asset Inventory and Management, and Window Servers/Anti-Virus/Patching, among others, for various industrial facilities. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for maintenance and documentation of all OT network components
- Serve as the contact person for all changes, extensions, and clean-up within the OT network infrastructure
- Ensure compliance with internal and external (OT/IT) guidelines (i.e. roll-outs, back-ups, recovery, etc.)
- Responsible for Network Segmentation in coordination with the IT and Automation teams
- Support on PLC, HMI, DCS, and SCADA deployments, maintenance, and integration
- Support the process engineering team for data acquisition, processing, and evaluation while also supporting the OPEX
- team on process improvement activities
- Ensure appropriate risk is mitigated during roll-outs, migrations, and integrations
- Assist with creating, modifying, or maintaining functional descriptions, control logic, and interlocks when appropriate
- Maintain OT security based on guiding OT Cyber-Security Framework
- Maintain Virtual System Management (specifically VMWare and Huper-V), including migrations
- Troubleshoot and resolve OT hardware and system related issues
- Manage Windows Servers, Enterprise Anit-Virus, endpoint security, SIEM, logging configurations, IDS/IPS, authentication
- methods, TCP/IP, packet captures and analysis, and WSUS
- Manage basic networks including switching, routing, firewall management, IPSec/VPN tunnels, and encryption
- Maintain up-to-date IT, OT, and security technology trends
- Investigate any cyber-security incidents/near misses in the OT environment
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, MIS, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Science preferred, preferably from
- an ABET accredited institution
- Minimum 7+ years relevant industrial experience in the areas of Engineering design, implementation, certification, and
- maintenance of all aspects of a large scale, high-complexity, integrated, highly available Process Control System
- Working knowledge of mainstream Control System PLC's and DCS's, including ABB, Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Emerson, GE,
- and related technologies
- Proven, hands-on System Integration experience
- Knowledge of safe work practices and engineering obligations in an industrial environment, including change
- management (MOC) work processes and procedures
- Familiarity with maintenance practices
- Familiarity with basic network scanning and tracing tools such as Nmap and Wireshark
- Experience with Windows command line as it pertains to establishing and troubleshooting network communications
- across devices and services
- Experience working with managed switches (i.e. Cisco), firewall rules/management, and Cybersecurity Services (i.e.
- Fortinet)
- Advanced analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills to develop creative solutions to complex problems
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-discipline team environment consisting of Engineering, Projects, Maintenance,
- and Operations, collaboratively troubleshooting and solving plant issues
- Knowledge of many other aspects of Industrial Automation, including roles of BPCS and SIS, Instrumentation, and
- Communication protocols (Modbus, Serial, Profibus DP/PA, TCP/IP, Profinet, Genius, etc.)
- Ability to independently find a solution for or to deal proactively with work related problems
- Ability to comprehend instructions and request clarification as necessary
- Favorable to possess a networking or security certification (Cisco, CompTIA, GIAC, etc.)
- Experience with one or more computer programming languages (Python, C++, Java, VBA, etc.)
- Excellent grammar, punctuation, and etiquette desired
- Willingness to learn new platforms, technologies, and interest in crossing over into other aspects of Automation
- Must be very organized, detail oriented, with the ability to identify outliers quickly
- Demonstrated field troubleshooting ability
- Ability to follow and perform work in accordance with company and customer HSE policy
- Ability to travel to customer sites as required, with travel expectations averaging around 25%
