Description:
Democracy Restated - Chief Operating Officer
About Democracy Restated:
Democracy Restated has a big vision: to update the rules for how we amend the Constitution. We believe that besides Congress proposing amendments, the state legislatures should also be able to propose amendments, when a supermajority of them agree on identical language. And we believe that besides ratification by legislatures, there should be an option for the People to ratify through a referendum. This referendum would require a supermajority of all votes nationally, plus a majority of the votes in a supermajority of the states.
These changes would break Congress' effective monopoly on the amendment process, bring the amendment process closer to the People, and breath new life into our politics. For more information, visit our website: www.DemocracyRestated.org.

We are an IRS-approved 501c3 nonprofit, which is appropriate to our current research stage. We also need to stand up a 501c4, so that once we have settled on our amendment proposal, we can actively lobby politicians.
If you want to play a role in this ambitious endeavor, we want to hear from you.
