BAE Systems Enterprise Shared Services is looking for an experienced and results-driven Director, Project Management Office (PMO) Processes & Tools to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to serve as a strategic thought leader within the ESS PMO, working to streamline, advance and accelerate new and existing PMO processes and tools to meet future organizational needs.In this job, you will:
  • Provide holistic leadership, promote a positive culture, and ensure an environment of collaboration, inclusivity, and respect in alignment with the company's behaviors and cultural principles.
  • Focus on PMO process modernization and creation, along with development of a knowledge base and training materials to support use of these processes and tools. Process creation will need to effectively balance enablement and control.
  • Support internal PMO stakeholders as well as all ESS staff that leverage ServiceNow's Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) tools. Own delivery and operations of PMO Tools, configurations and integrations to support the management of portfolios, programs, projects, and ESS products.

  • Develop and implement standardized reporting procedures to provide clear and timely project health information to stakeholders. Provide metrics to understand portfolio alignment to strategic roadmaps and priorities, resource allocation, and gaps in ability to delivery planned strategic outcomes and benefits.
  • Develop partnerships with other leaders in ESS to position the PMO to effectively leverage new tools and capabilities as they become available, including ServiceNow and M365 platforms, advanced AI tools, and predictive analytics.
  • Partner with Business Technology Officer (BTO) and their teams, and ESS-IT Leader, to develop processes to support strategic road mapping and development of metrics focused on outcomes and value delivery.
  • Establish change management processes for enhancements impacting strategic portfolio management and project frameworks.
  • Establish mechanisms to monitor performance and recalibrate internal PMO services as required.
  • Attract, develop, and retain high-performing, diverse talent; build future leaders through development, mentoring, and modeling excellence.
  • Lead a staff that includes Program Planning & Assist and Business Systems Analysts, providing guidance and direction to ensure successful delivery of services.


Required Skills and Education

Required Education, Experience, and Skills
  • 12+ years' work experience with Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience.
  • Must have experience implementing ServiceNow SPM capabilities.
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of information technology concepts and practices
  • Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to achieve results through others
  • Process development experience
  • Learning agility, relentless improvement mindset


Preferred Skills and Education

  • Masters' degree preferred
  • ITIL and Agile certifications preferred
