Position Objective
The Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner PM&R (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation) provides medical care to patients in clinic and hospital settings under the general direction of their supervising physician.

Position Objective
The Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner PM&R (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation) provides medical care to patients in clinic and hospital settings under the general direction of their supervising physician.
Essential Responsibilities
Clinical Service Delivery
- Obtain a complete medical history and physical data on patients and review patient records
- Interpret and integrate data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures needed, including but not limited to x-rays, MRIs, electrocardiograms, and laboratory tests
- Provide acute and chronic patient care including orthopedic exam, wellness physical exams, pre-operative interview and exam (H&P), monitor therapies, follow up imaging and procedure care coordination, administer injections, minor office surgical procedures, and prescribe medications
- Triage patient calls and take appropriate action or refer to appropriate physician or office staff
- Available for consult for clinical staff as needed
- Respond to medical emergencies as they present, including CPR
- Document patient information timely and care provided in patient records
- Maintain patient confidentiality following all guidelines and policies around HIPPA and Red Flag Rules
- Educates patients and families as appropriate and provide continuity of care
Surgical and Hospital Delivery
- Operating room care includes positioning patient and manipulation of the patient and use of surgical instruments as directed by the physician
Other Responsibilities
- Perform all other related duties as assigned in a professional and responsive manner
- Demonstrate the ability to use relevant equipment
- Support, understand, and promote Alomere Health's mission, vision, values, policies and procedures
- Ability to meet the work schedule requirements with flexibility dependent upon the needs of the department

Required Qualifications
- Maintain National Certification
- Eligible for licenses with MN Board of Medical Practice
- First Aid and CPR Certification BLS
