Summary:

Bradley University invites applicants to join our team as the next Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management (AVPEM). The AVPEM is a key member of the Enrollment Management leadership team and provides direction and oversight for strategic enrollment development and execution. Under the leadership of the Vice President for Enrollment Management and together with the AVP of Marketing and Communications, the AVPEM executes strategy, policy development, scheduling, budgeting, administering, and evaluation of Undergraduate, International and Graduate enrollment operations. The following positions and/or departments are under the supervision of the AVPEM: Director of Undergraduate Admissions, Director of Graduate Admissions, and Director of Campus Experiences.

Responsibilities:

This list is not all inclusive, and is meant to represent the general responsibilities of the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management.
  • Provide leadership to the Division of Enrollment Management, Marketing, and Communications, ensuring successful implementation of recruitment strategies and admissions processing as outlined in the strategic enrollment plan and the university's strategic plan.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President for Enrollment Management, Marketing, and Communications to forecast and assess enrollment goals and projections.
  • Develop and implement institution's admissions operating policies and procedures to comply with regulations, institutional policies and unit objectives.
  • Determine admissions personnel needs and the unit personnel resource allocation plan.
  • Serve as the liaison among internal and external stakeholder groups providing admission information and representing the admissions interests of the institution.
  • Advise institutional leadership on unit enrollment planning and management.
  • Plan and direct staff implementation of the institution's admissions initiatives and programs.
  • Lead staff in planning and executing long and short-term strategies.
  • Represent Bradley at special events
  • Serve as the primary contact for the colleges
  • Creates and maintains a positive, well-functioning team environment

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Related Field; Master's Degree Preferred
  • 10+ years of undergraduate admissions with demonstrated increased responsibility
  • 5+ years managing a team
  • Ability to effectively communicate, present, and build relationships
  • In-depth understanding of admissions processes, industry best practices, and effective admission strategies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of laws, policies, procedures, and best practices governing higher education enrollment management
  • Ability to work within a diverse campus community, prospective students, high school counselors, parents, and external community and/or education leaders and organizations
  • Strong technological and analytical skills, as demonstrated by the development of successful strategies to recruit and enroll students
  • Demonstrated understanding and expert knowledge of CRM i.e. Slate
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated strong commitment to continuous improvement
  • Support of mission, vision, and values of Bradley University and the Division of Enrollment Management, Marketing, and Communications

Due to the nature of this position, some evening and weekend work can be expected throughout the year, especially during limited travel. Candidates should be prepared to travel overnight and internationally and must possess a valid US driver's license and US Passport. While the majority of the work is done sitting or standing, the ability to lift boxes weighing up to 40 pounds is also necessary. Candidates may need to access Non-ADA compliant buildings.
