Description:
Dick's Auto Group is looking for an experienced Automotive Controller with multi-dealership experience to join our accounting team! Must be outgoing, with an energetic and self-motivated personality. Must be proficient in all areas of dealership accounting. The ideal candidate will have Tekion DMS experience and be efficient in Microsoft Office including both Teams and Excel. You will work closely with the CFO, General Manager, and other managers to effectively run the dealership and manage expenses.
Responsibilities:
Work with the CFO to develop and promote internal processes within the accounting office.
Work with the manager of finance/accounting departments to analyze financial records to ensure dealership goals are met
Oversee and assist with general accounting procedures such as payables/receivables/billing
Assist and ensure month-end processes are completed timely and accurately
Calculate and prepare salespeople commission sheets for payroll
Reconcile floor plan and reserve statements
Post manufacturer invoices and reconcile statements
Post daily bank transactions and reconcile statements.
Review all schedules for accuracy and research and resolve all issues
Maintain compliancy of accounting records
Keep a very busy office always organized.
Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
General accounting office experience like taxes, payroll, AP, AR, Etc.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Teams, Word
The ability to work well with others, manage in a positive manner, train and help with any duties needed.
Excellent communications, interpersonal and organizational skills
Prior supervisory experience, preferably in an automotive environment required
Lead by example, be approachable and coachable
Annual compensation is salaried, begins at $120,000 and includes full medical, dental, vision benefits as well as PTO and 401(k) opportunities.
