This is a full-time, hybrid remote position (Tuesdays & Thursdays in-office)

The Director of Technology and Innovation will assist in developing and implementing a unified program and assessment that integrates STEAM and SEL, aligned with national standards. This role involves leveraging technology in curriculum design and delivery, overseeing professional development for classroom teachers, SHARP educators, and educational tour site partners.

Primary Functions and Responsibilities

Professional Development

  • Develop and train SHARP educators using the ADDIE model.
  • Coach educators on program delivery, incorporating research-based best teaching practices and the SHARP approach.
  • Oversee and provide professional development opportunities for educational partners.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to maintain relevant, high-quality educational programming.

Assessments
  • Create student assessments based on program objectives.
  • Analyze and report on data used for grant reporting and data-driven recommendations.
  • Train educators on how to assess students and input data.
  • Collaborate with VP to prepare for data presentations to the board and stakeholders.
  • Curriculum Development
  • Develop and update curriculum to include three programming pillars: Technology Integration, Project-Based Learning, and Design & Art.
  • Develop and update grade-specific engineering and design notebooks.
  • Prepare slides for classroom use and as teaching aids.
  • Upload all relevant information onto classroom portals.

Other
  • Collaborate with the VP of Programs and Partnerships to hire SHARP educators.
  • Attend SHARP staff meetings, committee meetings, working team meetings, and board meetings.
  • Serve as an ambassador for SHARP Literacy in community-wide initiatives and at events.

Education/Certification, Qualifications, and Experience
  • Earned bachelor's or master's degree in education, the arts, or related fields.
  • Five or more years of successful experience teaching and/or working in an urban school setting with diverse students.
  • Proficient with Google and Microsoft
  • Experienced with screen recording software (i.e.. Loom) and block coding.
