IT Cloud Engineer

PacSci EMC is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with a focus on Azure Administration, Server Administration, and Network Engineering to drive the transformation of our IT infrastructure services. This role is pivotal in architecting, implementing, and managing cloud-based operations solutions, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and an ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

• Cloud Architecture & Administration: Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud solutions to meet business requirements. Ensure optimal performance, security, and cost-efficiency of cloud services.
• Server Administration: Oversee the administration of on-premise and cloud servers, including performance tuning, patch management, and security configurations.
• Network Engineering: Design and manage network infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity, security, and performance across all locations.
• Stakeholder Interaction: Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure exceptional IT service delivery.
• Service Management: Manage daily operations of the cloud and infrastructure services team, including relationships with managed services partners.
• Strategic Planning: Support and execute a roadmap for cloud and infrastructure services in partnership with the infrastructure architecture leader, aligning with overall IT strategy.
• Continuous Improvement: Utilize data and key performance indicators to drive visible improvements in services.
• Escalation Point: Serve as an escalation point for emergent issues, providing prompt updates and root cause analysis for outages.
• Process Improvement: Facilitate workshops to understand user challenges, define process requirements, and drive improvements through change control methodologies.
• Compliance: Ensure that cloud solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards, financial targets, and regulatory requirements.
• Project Management: Lead strategic IT projects from concept to implementation, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Team Environment: Foster a dynamic and innovative work environment that encourages creativity and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• 7-10 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Experience with O365 Administration, Exchange Administration, Endpoint Management, and Machine Virtualization (Citrix).
• Knowledge of automation, AI, and government compliance preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing large projects on time and to budget.
• Strong work ethic, technical acumen, attention to detail, and people skills.
• Excellent communication and creative problem-solving skills.
