Servicing within the Agile Space Operations Software Branch (RVSX) Branch (also known as Space Commercially Augmented Mission Platform (CAMP) as a Full-Stack DevSecOps Software Developer, you will be a driving force in designing, developing, and securing cutting-edge software solutions within our agile development environment. You will play a pivotal role in building robust and scalable applications, while championing security best practices throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hands-on Development: Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using modern technologies, ensuring a seamless user experience and optimal performance.
  • DevSecOps Integration: Implement and manage secure CI/CD pipelines, integrating security tools and processes to safeguard code repositories, container registries, and deployment environments.
  • Security Champion: Conduct thorough vulnerability scanning and penetration testing of code and container images, proactively identifying and mitigating potential security risks.
  • Compliance Advocate: Ensure strict adherence to DoD and industry security standards, establishing and maintaining rigorous access controls and security protocols.
  • Incident Response: Develop and implement effective incident response procedures, promptly addressing security incidents and anomalies to minimize potential impact.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with software development teams, customer groups, and operational users to foster a culture of security awareness and collaboration.
  • Strategic Leadership: Engage with senior officials and decision-makers within USSPACECOM, USSF, and associated organizations, collaborating on the design and implementation of a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with agile development principles.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging security threats and technologies, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to enhance the overall security posture of our software ecosystem.

Required Qualifications

  • US Citizen
  • Must have a Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree, undergraduate or graduate, from an accredited academic institution
  • Must have a passion for staying at the forefront of technology trends and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Must have a strong understanding of software development principles and practices, with experience in full-stack development using relevant technologies.
  • Must have demonstrated expertise in DevSecOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and security automation tools.
  • Must have proven ability to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in code and infrastructure.
  • Experience with DoD and industry security standards, including access controls, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
  • This position is an Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) position requiring foundational Engineering and Technology. The selectee will have 24-months to meet APDP requirements or a waiver must be obtained. Applicants for this position must list any acquisition certifications and status as an acquisition corps member in their resume.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with the DoD PPBE cycle for funding, as well as experience in working with contracting officers to write requests for proposals, and accomplish proposal reviews
  • Cloud provider certifications such as AWS Certified Security
  • Docker Certified Associate Certification
  • Detailed technical experience in working with DoD DevSecOps platform
