Head of Global HR Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Global HR Operations to oversee all aspects of our human resources operational strategy, processes, and systems.

As the Head of HR operations, you'll manage a wide range of activities and processes that support the day-to-day functioning of the human resources department. This scope encompasses the strategic, administrative and operational tasks involved in managing employees throughout their employment lifecycle including employee data management, HR policy development, immigration, compliance with employment laws, employee onboarding and offboarding, and HR system management. These activities ensure the smooth operation of HR functions, support organizational policies and procedures and contribute to the overall management of the workforce.

Reporting to the VP of Global Employee Engagement and People Operations, the successful candidate will have extensive HR experience in senior roles, deep knowledge of Human Resources Management processes and software, and a successful track record of managing and coaching distributed teams. You will lead the charge to ensure our HR department operates efficiently and scales with the news of the business.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR Operations strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. Demonstrate deep understanding of linkage between broader HR strategy and HR Operations goals and drive execution on the strategic objectives of the function through centralized processes and practices.
  • Drives operational excellence and efficiency by iterating processes based on qualitative and quantitative feedback and insights; leverages and improves existing projects and programs (knowledge base expansion, self service, AI capabilities, etc.).
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance, mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions. Monitor and advise management on legal and regulatory changes affecting HR matters.
  • Lead the team responsible for implementation and maintenance of HR software systems that streamline HR processes, such as HRIS (Human Resources Information System), employee changes (PANs), performance management platforms, and employee self-service portals (inclusive of but not limited to: G-suite sites and hubs, Paylocity, ADP, Litmos (LMS), Lattice, Jira, Access, etc.).
  • Lead the team in maintaining employee data integrity through data input, system integration, compliance, data accuracy, employee self-service, and continuous improvement, HR operations ensure the effective administration of payroll and benefits.
  • Lead efforts to produce regular reports and presentations on HR metrics and trends for senior management. Utilize HR analytics to drive insights and decision-making.
  • Run, adapt and accelerate the global shared services organization. Lead and develop the HR team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve high performance targets and resolve escalated issues directly, as appropriate.
  • Builds and maintains strong cross-functional stakeholder relationships for effective daily partnership with HR COE's, Business Process Owners across HR, HRIS, IT, Legal, and Finance.
  • Support HR programs deployed to foster positive employee relations and a high level of employee engagement.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the HR department.
  • Support HRBP team in employee relations matters and support investigations as necessary.


Required Qualifications and Skills
  • 15+ years of proven experience as an HR Director of Operations or similar senior HR role.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR functions including recruitment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance management, and HR legal compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR related systems inclusive of Paylocity, ADP, Lattice, Litmos, Jira, and Smartsheets.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or relevant experience.

Desirable Skills
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
  • Experience in the SaaS industry strongly preferred

Sumo Logic Privacy Policy

The expected annual base salary range for this position is $161,000 - $218,000 . Compensation varies based on a variety of factors which include (but aren't limited to) role level, skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, location, and experience. In addition to base pay, certain roles are eligible to participate in our bonus or commission plans, as well as our benefits offerings, and equity awards.
