We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Sr. Automotive Technical Trainer to join our team at Lucid Motors. This role is essential in providing technical training to personnel across our service network. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automotive service, a deep understanding of diagnostic processes, and exceptional training skills.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid's equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$100,000-$125,000 USD

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Sr. Automotive Technical Trainer to join our team at Lucid Motors. This role is essential in providing technical training to personnel across our service network. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automotive service, a deep understanding of diagnostic processes, and exceptional training skills.
Responsibilities:
- Training Program Development: Design, develop, and update technical training materials, including manuals, e-learning modules, and interactive workshops. Work alongside our learning and development team to produce highly effective technical training for delivery to technicians from service locations as well as our 3rd party body shop network.
- Delivery of Training: Conduct engaging and effective training sessions for service technicians, both in-person and virtually. Provide hands-on training and demonstrations to ensure practical understanding and application of technical concepts.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics. Continuously improve training materials and methods based on evaluations and industry advancements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product development, and service departments to ensure training materials and content are accurate and up to date. Collaborate with other trainers and training managers to share best practices and insights.
- Training assets: Upkeep of all training assets at your assigned location. All vehicles are in working order, software updated, clean and in order.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive service and repair, with a strong background in diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle systems.
- Previous EV experience preferred but not required.
- Proven experience in training and/or instructional roles, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Bachelor's degree in automotive technology or a related field experience preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Master Technician, OEM-specific certifications) are highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to continuous learning and development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and adapt training methods to meet diverse needs.
- This role will require occasional travel to various locations both domestically and internationally.
