Responsibilities of the Senior Systems Engineer:
EDC Consulting LLC (EDC) is seeking candidates for a full-time Senior Systems Engineer who will provide systems administration duties and tasks. The role is 90% remote and will require travel to DC one day a week.
The Senior Systems Engineer will :
- Manage permissions and controls using Active Directory.
- Support Forensic Computer Lab, a stand-alone small data center that is used for agents to do their investigations.
- Utilize Hyper-V cluster hosting 15 servers consisting of Windows, Linux, and Unix.
- Create, deploy, and administer solutions for business growth and development, especially in fields of high availability and security.
- Manage servers, data, and networking components across Linux and Windows platforms and infrastructures.
- Analyze network data and infrastructure to determine inefficiencies and problems.
- Develop and design network architecture and computer systems infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and develop effective solutions.
- Ability to create, deploy, and administrate solutions for business growth and development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar field
- 5+ years experience as a System engineer
- Excellent scripting skills and knowledge of programming languages.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- CSEP, MCSE, CETma, CCNA, CISSP, or Network+ Certification is desired
- Active DOD or DHS Security Clearance
