WHAT YOU'LL DO
As the Senior Manager, Educational Activities, you will:
- Manage educational content including needs assessment, content development, and ACPE guidelines.
- Identify, recruit and work with SMEs to develop content for APhA meetings and supported programs.
- Apply best practices of instructional design and adult learning theory to the strategy, design and delivery of educational content, and recommend optimal learning modality
- Manage all aspects of speaker communication and documentation including online speaker agreements, registration, travel arrangements, reimbursement.
- Manage the contributed papers program including marketing, review process, onsite presentation, and abstract publication.
- Manage the education logistics prior to meetings and onsite, including: site visits, room scheduling, audio visual needs, food and beverage, and room set-up requirements.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
APhA may be the right fit for you if you are:
Experience and Education required:
- PharmD degree is required.
- 5+ years of relevant experience or 1+ year of a Residency/Fellowship and 2+ years of relevant experience
- Direct experience in developing and implementing training programs is required; association education planning experience is preferred.
Skills, knowledge and abilities required:
- Knowledge of ACPE/ACCME Standards and adult learning principles
- Knowledge of educational technologies, learning management systems, and distance/online learning
- Knowledge of pharmacy education activity development process
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple work tasks effectively
- Attention to detail; good proofreading skills
- Microsoft Word/Excel/Access proficiency
- Database experience
- Must be able to travel to live education meetings.
- Experience with on-site meetings management
- Office management skills, including ability to organize material and files to handle routine details, such as filing and arranging meetings
- Familiarity with budget and accounting processes a plus
