CLINICAL SERVICES MANAGER

The Clinical Services Manager is responsible for the oversight of all clinical services, residential/outpatient treatment programs, and treatment services contracts for all aspects of operations for Embrave's Forensic Mental Health and Competency Restoration Services known as the Valor Program. The Valor Program is a statewide program designed for clients who need or have a history of needing forensic and competency restoration services. The Clinical Services Manager will develop a highly effective therapeutic treatment culture within staff and client milieu. This position is responsible for recommending and implementing changes that improve delivery of clinical services. Key aspects include therapeutic program development, overseeing and supporting competency restoration education supports, recruiting, hiring and operationalizing the clinical program plan in collaboration with Client Services Director and Client Services Manager. The Clinical Services Manager shares responsibility for creating a positive, team-oriented program culture in accordance with Embrave's Mission, Vision, and Core Values.

Training, supervising and supporting all therapeutic aspects of the Valor program. The Clinical Services Manager will ensure knowledge of and compliance with all Valor and Embrave policies and procedures and applicable regulatory requirements and program standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides oversight of Clinical Services department operations for all clinical services
  • Develops and maintains a highly effective therapeutic treatment culture in both staff member and client milieus.
  • Supervises the clinical staff and evaluates employee performance; makes recommendations for performance improvements or additional actions.
  • Assists with the design, implementation, and management of clinical programming and internship program; provides therapeutic support/coverage as needed
  • Supervises therapeutic services, including delivery of assessments, conducting treatment planning, group facilitation, and ensures timely documentation of treatment for billing team.
  • Responsible for department budget and onsite petty cash management.
  • Responsible for contract compliance and standards
  • Provides clinical supervision and facilitates clinical meetings/client staffing.
  • Serves as an advisor to all aspects of the clients support team.
  • Completes regular internal quality assurance reviews of files and documentation, and direct observation of the clinical services staff.
  • Provides crisis intervention and mental health on-call services.
  • Responsible for the clinical programs' state certification and licensing regulations

  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with peers, all departments, the management team, regulatory agencies, and community partners.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
  • Hires and trains new clinical staff.
  • Addresses performance and/or behavioral issues in a constructive and timely manner.
  • Provides clinical supervision and oversight of clinicians' hours toward licensing as needed


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of a Master's degree with a Colorado clinical license in good standing with the ability to clinically supervise others pursuing a higher clinical license.

At least five years of professional experience in the mental health, social services or human services fields is required.

Two years of leadership experience is required.
