Position Purpose

As a direct report of the Senior Director, Corporate Engagement, the Associate Director, Corporate Engagement will be an active contributor to the fundraising efforts for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA) and will manage various aspects of corporate engagement, brand partnerships, and other strategic alliances for the organization. This position will have three priority work areas:
  • Stewarding existing partnerships and ensuring all components of assigned partnerships are achieved, tracked, and maintained at best-in-class standards
  • Building out and executing concepts associated with new partnerships
  • Supporting the growth goals for annual revenue

Location: United States (100% Remote, East Coast Time Zone Preferred)

Travel: Approximately 20 - 25%

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of existing BBBSA corporate development accounts, including partnership development and renewal, reporting, and stewardship, with special attention paid to contract adherence, contract fulfillment, and retention activities.
  • Maximize partnership relationships to grow revenue, volunteerism and network engagement including employee engagement, ERG activation, leadership development, and more.
  • Build a pipeline of prospects to generate to support corporate development growth goals.
  • Work with BBBSA Marketing and Communications teams, including Integrated Communications, to tell the story of impact and promote success stories, in line with corporate partner initiatives. Ensure corporate collateral aligns with the BBBSA brand and fundraising goals of each partner.
  • Supports the key deliverables of the Resource Development team including conference sponsorship, year-end giving, key affinity month activations, donor impact and reporting (annual report, society recognition), 3rd party resources, internal systems alignment, and network activations.
  • Attend relevant corporate partner and BBBSA events, conferences, or webinars to discover new initiatives and/or to identify prospects aligned to BBBSA strategic growth plans.
  • Assist in the design and optimization of the strategic partnerships process and account management cadence across the Network utilizing Salesforce and other internal project management resources (Asana, SharePoint).
  • Recommend new procedures and tools to improve synergies throughout the BBBSA Network and between National team departments to realize the goal of expanded impact through transformative partnerships.
  • Coordinate with other departments and units that are essential to building corporate partnerships, including finance, integrated communications, and program teams. Engage leaders throughout the network to develop integrated partnership opportunities and bring proposals/agreements to scale.

Education & Related Work Experience

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in nonprofit management, business, marketing, communications (or related education) or equivalent relevant experience.

Years of Related Work Experience: A minimum of 4 years of demonstrated successful resource development support, sales and/or account management experience.

Skills and Knowledge: Ability to manage complex, sensitive matters with high attention to detail; Excellent people skills; Highly organized in approach, with ability to set and manage priorities; Ability to work independently in achieving results consistently on deadline; Excellent team working skills; ability to collaborate; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, fundraising software, and database systems including Salesforce, Asana, and SharePoint; History of success with planning, managing, and initiating corporate relationships with the nonprofit sector; Successful 6-figure partnership support and execution experience.
