At Beneficial State Bank, the Branch Manager III is responsible for taking care of our customers and employees, making them feel welcomed and valued. As a Branch Manager you ensure each of the assigned Branches meets and exceeds customer expectations and will create a People First culture in the Branch. You direct all aspects of Branch operations in addition to growing the deposits and lending at each of the sites while coaching and mentoring your teams. The Branch Manager collaborates with a variety of internal stakeholders, including Marketing, Commercial Banking, Consumer Lending, and Central Operations to provide a seamless customer experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Create a People First culture for customers ensuring an excellent customer experience, and for employees creating an outstanding employment environment for all.
  • Build partnerships with local businesses to build the brand in the local market area through strong community involvement.
  • Create an environment that encourages team members to provide an exceptional customer experience and a dynamic and engaging culture.
  • Actively identify, coach, develop, motivate, and support employees so that they can provide superior service to every customer.
  • Promotes a strong control environment to evaluate, manage and conduct new and existing business by adhering to risk/control expectations, procedures, and processes.
  • Identify strategies to successfully grow deposits & investments for the branch.
  • Make decisions and resolve issues regarding customer and team experience, risk, and growth of the retail banking team to meet business banking objectives.
  • Engage customers to understand their financial needs and work proactively to help customers achieve financial success.
  • Lead, manage and develop a team of direct reports with low to moderate complexity and risk in retail branches for each site.
  • Outstanding leadership experience, with a proven, successful record of coaching and empowering employees.
  • Ability to organize and manage competing priorities effectively across branch locations.
  • Experience creating and maintaining a strong risk and control environment with demonstrated commitment to operational integrity and policies.
  • Completes all online compliance training as assigned within specified due dates.
  • Acts as a role model and actively promotes the Banks mission and vision with their team and customers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Comprehensive knowledge of branch banking and operational functions, bank services and products, and related policies and procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge of state and federal banking compliance regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and/or five years of related experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Minimum 3 years people management strongly preferred; Retail Banking preferred.
  • Well-developed business management and relationship building skills.
  • Experience and knowledge in consumer and small business lending, underwriting activities, and terminology.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the proven ability to provide leadership, supervision, and training.
  • The ability to travel for business purposes at least 10% of the time and attend events that are outside of normal business hours.


COMPENSATION
The posted pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role but may include ranges from the different geographies where this position may be based. New employees' starting pay is usually from the start of the range to approximately 25% of the max, more qualified and/or experienced employees may start near the middle of the range for their geography. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range.
Compensation for our organization is based on factors that include the role, required knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies, and candidates' relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Our pay ranges are based on national living wage indexes, such as MIT's living wage index, to enable us to pay our employees beyond what are standard practices for many employers, and also take into account geographically-specific recent compensation market survey data for each position.
