Summary/Objective:
The MRO Supplier Quality Engineer is a key technical leader responsible for working with Suppliers, Contract Manufactures, Design Engineering, Operations and Supply Chain for the selection of qualified MRO suppliers and improvement of supplier performance. The main role is to ensure the quality of the delivered products and services by managing actions to improve the level of performance of the supplier.
Requirements include but are not limited to:
Participate to the definition of the quality standard to be respected by the suppliers
Assess supplier conformance to such standards (including Part-145)
Support Purchasing to open new sources & repair flows
Manage deviations to this standard & in product conformance, by being the main quality interface to the supplier
Manage the preventive actions with the supplier
Monitor the supplier quality performance
Main activities/roles
Help define the subcontracting scheme, by participating to the supplier flow openging meeting (Commission validation Fournisseurs - CVF). Authorize the flow after check of implementation of the actions, in adding "FIQ"/ quality released in SAP system.
Participate to define the supplier quality specifications and to cascade the quality Safran requirements (GRP-0087, ...)
Identify the deviation to those quality standards with the supplier via matrix of compliance and monitor the associated action plan to be implement by the subcontractor
Support the team in charge of giving Safran approvals
Check the compliance to the standard referred on the Purchase Order in realizing First Article Inspection and quality product assessment
Ensure the implementation of action plan relatively to the findings detected during the FAI
Manage supplier discrepancies. Issue Supplier Discrepancy Report and ensure to receive answer with robust root cause analysis and actions implementation (including quality wall)
Define the associated cost to transmit to the purchasing department the amount of non quality costs.
Manage the regular assessments of the suppliers
Support to the supplier to understand and implement Safran & customer specifications,
Manage the non P145 approved sources in ensuring Human factors & Safety Management System way of management
Prepare and participate to performance meetings
Travel specifictity
20% - 30% travel is required for this position. Travel can temporarily increase if a critical situation occurs.

Reports to: Control and Accessories Team Manager
Required Education:
Minimum: Bachelor of Science degree from and accredited institution in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Equivalent Discipline).
French language skill will be considered as a plus
Required Experience:
Minimum: 3 years in supplier quality discipline; Six Sigma and Lean methodology; certified preferred
Preferred: 5+ years in supplier quality discipline; Lean Six Sigma certified; SAP experience preferred but not required.
Technical background (Design Office, Engineering, Composite materials or Industrialization),
Knowledge in Composite products and manufacturing is considered as a plus.
