Duties and Responsibilities
3-5 years of Catering Leadership experience in a luxury environment

- Provide leadership and support for catering managers, conference service managers, catering coordinators, banquet managers and assistant banquet managers.
- Understands the overall market - competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply, and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
- Targets segments with heavy emphasis on proactive solicitation.
- Identifies, qualifies, and solicits new markets with a focus on increasing business.
- Achieve property revenue goals.
- Closes the best opportunities for property based on market conditions and property needs.
- Identifies and develops new market opportunities.
- Develops and implements an effective sales plan.
- Develop yearly budget.
- Develop monthly forecast.
- Executes designated sales strategies to develop and solicit specific accounts to achieve revenue goals.
- Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.
- Designs, develops, and sells creative catered events.
- Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).
- Develops and manages relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Manages department managers.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include assisting with interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Lead and create a team environment which supports our Guiding Principles and Pillars.
- Effectively communicate with the team by holding regular briefing sessions and attending all management meetings.
- Partner with Director of Commerce and People & Culture to coach and develop team to meet the business objectives and develop colleagues.
