Your tasks

Summary of Key responsibilities
Boundaries of responsibilities and interaction with
Grows our business through product portfolio, by defining and adapting key strategies and monitoring progress
Transfers market or customer demands into specifications for new products and services
Provides R&D teams precise and high-quality project orders for product development which can be transferred efficiently into Technologies and Products fulfilling market requirements
Initiates, leads and/or supervises product development initiatives
Prepares and executes product launches globally in a structured and professional manner, ensures product availability
Implements and maintains an effective product life cycle management and evaluates COGS and Gross Margin of respective products and initiates appropriate measures
Intentionally removes obsolete products from the market & manages consequences
Leads product-focused sales promotion initiatives, at customer sites and exhibitions in close collaboration with Market Management
Provides sales support material (product presentations, selling guides, product flyers and catalogues, product samples and display material)
Contributes actively to shape, challenge, implement and cascade the RF Cable and Cable Assembly business strategy plan by pushing for and communicating answers to the questions of Why, What, How, Who, When, What If
Supports competiveness over entire product life cycle by systematically addressing non-technical product features to maintain differentiation (e.g. continuous improvement & cost-down with appropriate change management, purchasing, logistics & availability, added services)
Implements and maintains technical product data base
Evaluates intellectual property product value and initiates appropriate measures
Develops and implements a Product Strategy fitting into the Product Line and Division Strategy in alignment with various Market Strategies
Provides clear Product Guidelines to Application Engineers and supports them, as required
Interfaces within Product Management Development and other functions (e.g. MM, Operations, Global Sourcing, MarCom)
Uses Global Management System processes and actively contributes to process improvements
Initiates corrective actions if design-related product nonconformances occur, supports Quality Assurance
All other relevant duties as assigned

Your profile

Education:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Physics or similar field required

Experience:
Minimum 5 years of industry related experience required
Minimum 3 years of product management experience required
Product know-how in the field of high frequency and microwave technologies required

Skills/Knowledge:
Technical expertise in High/Radio Frequency Technology, Material Science and Cable Manufacturing Processes
Advanced Project Management/Leadership Skills and People Leadership/Line Supervision Skills in a product development environment
Intermediate level of product know-how with cables and cable assemblies (including competitive landscape)
Intermediate level of understanding relevant supplier landscape for materials and manufacturing equipment
Intermediate level knowledge of measurement technology and market-specific Verification/Validation Procedures for cables and cable assemblies
Intermediate level knowledge of sales channels and distribution networks for targeted markets
Ability to orchestrate the marketing mix (product, price, promotion, place) for given product lines
Intermediate level with Microsoft, PDM, ERP
Fluent in English
Ability to develop and thrive in a climate of entrepreneurial spirit
Efficient and effective in an ever-changing environment often with ambiguity and unknowns

Personal Qualifications:
Minimum of 15% travel
On-site position in Warren, NJ
Ability to manage change effectively
Customer focus and an ability to manage customers and peers with tact and diplomacy
Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds; ability to exercise cultural awareness and sensitivity
