About this team
This role is part of the technology leadership team accountable for the strategy, engineering, and delivery of technology to enable educator and guest transactions and experiences through developing applications on cloud to support integrations between various Retail Systems along with leading and defining Cloud practices for Retail, Mobile and Guest support organization.

A day in the life
As a Technology Manager, you are a leader responsible for leading the Retail Services team with accountability for software development scoped to business-transformative projects by being involved in projects and programs from inception through implementation. You are a leader on the team doing exciting and innovative work as we bring omni transactional experience for our guest to life. This team is responsible for creating API's, streaming pipelines and backend integrations following microservices architecture principles on AWS cloud infrastructure stack. You will be leading from front on automation and CI/CD initiatives along with defining cloud practices across organization. This role will also provide strategic leadership for high level technical design and architecture for various key implementations.
You are a leader who is comfortable leading and managing team members with different skill sets and can communicate expectations clearly to all team members. In addition to strong management skills, you act as a leader for the technical roadmap for your team and can communicate timeline, scope and risks to partners and stakeholders, and lead the delivery of major initiatives. This role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to identify and eliminate bottlenecks, provide escalation
management, anticipate, and make tradeoffs and balance business needs versus technical constraints. Maturity, curiosity, creative problem solving, and team leadership are all essential for success in this role.

lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and teamperformance. Thetypical hiring range for this position is from $145,700-$191,200 ; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.

- Leading a team of program managers, project managers, analysts, engineers, testers, business stakeholders and software vendors across multiple work streams simultaneously
- Leading the adoption of standards, metrics, DevOps and SecOps toolset, optimizations and practices for cloud stack that can be adopted across the organization to bring in operational efficiencies and strengthening security posture
- Define and develop COP structure for Cloud and Engineering practices for overall organization and setting up centralized SRE team for Retail with cross-discipline team members
- Lead in creating governance framework for defining Performance, Resiliency and Full stack Observability with focused vision and common goals to achieve near zero down time
- Managing process, people, and timeline to ensure that high quality deliverables are produced
- Ensuring the right skills are being used to solve the right problems by supporting the team with empathetic coaching, skills development, and career path leadership.
- Ensuring team produces software that meets business and technology requirements which is resilient, scalable, monitorable, performant, and maintainable.
- Leading resolution of production support incidents in accordance with incident management policies and procedures and ensures that applications changes follow change management policies and procedures.
- Champion and enforces software development and operational support processes
- Driving alignment by building effective partnership with stakeholders across global markets and ability to influence change
- Being a role model and lead awareness and training for your team in our IDEA program - Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Action and can mentor other managers across the organization
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience CS/CIS, finance, business administration, or other related field
- 10+ years of experience in information technology with direct working experience leading complex, global technology initiatives
- 5+ years of experience leading in a product centric delivery environment
- Demonstrated experience managing $3M+ technology delivery projects
- Experience in developing object-oriented development frameworks within Agile/Scrum, and waterfall environments
- Experience in leading development using Core Java, J2EE and microservices framework
- Experience & working knowledge of AWS Services (AWS Docker ECS, AWS Application load balancer, S3) along with Application, Integration and data Architecture is a plus
- Experience in designing and building cloud native AWS solutions, covering for example container services, serverless architectures, high availability and fault-tolerance implementations, database services, data integration & big data processing and storage concepts
- Experience managing budgets and conducting regular forecasting
- Excellent presentation, verbal, written, interpersonal and listening skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills including collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation
- Strong collaboration skills to achieve business goals collectively across broad teams
- Understanding technological trends and using this knowledge to bring innovative solutions to enhance the enterprise's competitive edge.
