Job Overview

This position will be a key member of the Accounting and Finance team, and a strategic business partner to senior management. With a primary focus on the future, the Senior FP&A Analyst will help drive the annual planning process, set operational metric goals, investigate budget/actual variances, and assist the Controller and Sr. Financial Reporting Accountant in assembling and presenting financial and operational information for the McCrossan enterprise. This position requires financial acumen and experience, superior attention to detail while also seeing the big picture, excellent communication skills across all levels of the company, and be process driven.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead support role for enterprise budget/forecast process.
  • Short- and long-term capital planning and forecasting.
  • Investigate and report on monthly and year-to-date budget/actual variances.
  • Design, create and maintain comprehensive financial methods to support decision-making.
  • Assist in establishing, measuring, and monitoring divisional operating performance metrics.
  • Contributes to monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting.
  • Participate in evaluation of equipment financing alternatives.
  • Assist Real Estate Department with financial modeling and analysis; monitor and manager property tax notices and bills.
  • Participate on teams evaluating merger and acquisition opportunities.
  • Create and update financial analysis processes/technology, and reporting tools/formats.
  • Provide financial information as required by outside auditors, lenders, and insurance broker.
  • Infrequent travel to subsidiary locations.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree business -- Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or related field - or comparable equivalent in experience.
  • 5+ years of financial modeling, analysis, and/or management.
  • Construction industry experience and knowledge are helpful.
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing demands on limited resources.
  • Experience with and understanding of divisional and consolidated financial statements.
  • Ability to summarize complex data in an understandable and actionable manner.
  • Superior interpersonal, organization, verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient at Office 365 applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Work Environment

  • Traditional indoor office environment. Some office workers may travel to construction sites periodically.

Physical Demands

  • The physical demands described below are representative of but not limited to the physical exertion generally required to perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time while using a keyboard. They are frequently required to stand and walk. They are occasionally required to lift, carry, push, pull, and reach overhead materials up to 20 pounds, along with frequent gross manipulation using their hands. The visual requirements include demonstrating or having vision corrected to 20/20. In general, this position includes sedentary work that primarily involves sitting and/or standing as well as repeating motions that include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
