SUMMARY OF THE JOB
The Manager of Talent Development is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing talent development strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives. This role focuses on enhancing employee skills, improving performance, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Duties include the following, other duties may be assigned:
- Talent Development Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive talent development strategies that support organizational goals, enhance employee skills, and improve performance outcomes.
- Training Programs: Design and implement training programs, workshops, and seminars to address skill gaps, leadership development, and career growth.
- Leadership Development: Create and manage programs aimed at identifying and nurturing high-potential employees for leadership roles.
- Performance Management: Partner with HR and leadership teams to enhance performance management processes and ensure alignment with talent development initiatives.
- Coaching and Mentoring: Provide coaching and mentoring to employees at various levels to support their career development and address performance issues.
- Metrics and Reporting: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of talent development programs and report on outcomes to senior management.
- Change Management: Support change management initiatives by preparing and equipping employees with the necessary skills and knowledge to adapt to organizational changes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with department heads and managers to identify specific training needs and tailor programs to meet those needs.
- Public Speaking / Corporate Training: Conduct training sessions, workshops, or seminars using a variety of delivery methods (e.g., in-person, virtual, e-learning platforms) to cater to different learning styles ranging from small to large scale audiences.
- New Hire Orientation & Onboarding: Facilitate new hire orientation sessions (bi-weekly) to familiarize new hires with company policies, culture, values, and expectations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPLP, SHRM-SCP) is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in talent development, learning and development, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver engaging training programs and workshops.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to measure and report on program effectiveness.
- Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and other training tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
